Like Subban he started the season slowly, very slowly. Doughty was more consistent over the season IMO.
I think the fact he brought his team in the playoffs when everybody thought it was impossible probably gave him some more votes.

Sure, but Karlsson had a hell of a second half. Like I said, both him and Subban played below average until xmas IMO. Karlsson, and Hammond, found a way to make the playoffs while Doughty didn't.
