The two guys who I really want to see get the Babcock treatement are JVR and Kadri.

Not willing to trade either until we see how they respond to actual coaching.

I don't see Arizona's incentive for the risk.

Why the hell would Toronto trade its 2016 pick?

It's going to be a cold, cold winter down at the ACC next year.

On the drive home, they were talking about trading 4 and 24 for 3 and 30 to get Strome.

Seemed like an entirely stupid idea.

- Schenn-Sational!

Seems the TSN people truly believe Strome is the player the Leafs want. Hayes was saying they need him because of the void since Sundin. I hate that line of thought.

It was because of the Hunter interview.

He basically brought out an easel and painted a picture of strome with his words.

Well, he's already 26... Really depends on how fast you think they rebuild.
- Schenn-Sational!

im just saying that his value won't get any higher and there's no guarantee he resigns when his deal is up. i know he's thought highly of here but he's a 55-60 point winger with zero defensive accountability whose numbers are (if we're being honest) inflated by playing with a talent like Kessel.

Yea, go BPA. And if you want a center, Hunter was talking about how Marner wanted to play at center, pushed to be out there, and excelled at it. So it's not like he's guaranteed to be a winger.

But then Hunter was also talking about how Strome is one of the smartest players in the draft.

JVR was a lot better defensively before this season. Seems Carlyle just told that line to focus on one thing and one thing only.

Don't really disagree with the rest though. His value is at its highest now. People saying he was a better player than Kessel were completely out to lunch.

He cost us Luke Schenn and has an unreal contract. Hes a keeper at least until we see what Babcock can do with him.

He just told them to stop playing hockey, like the rest of the team

1. We are not being honest here.

2. JVR has not reached his talent ceiling. Honestly, try watching the guy live for a few games. He's the most frustrating player to watch on the Leafs since...Gardiner...or Jason Blake...oh hell, they are all frustrating to watch. What the hell was I saying?

Ah, yes, JVR. His like an 11 year old boy out there - he's fooling around. He'd rather do that stupid flip shot thingy from behind the goal line than stand in front of the blue paint and score an Andreychuk goal. He's goofing around out there. Big, giggly smile on his face when he comes back to the bench after not sinking a 3 foot putt.

He needs the Babcock.*

He needs the Babcock bad.

He needs the Babcock real bad.
