love when teams and fan bases want to get something of high value without giving up anything of value - flyershockey
Maybe you are right and it's way off-based.
But then the Bs will not do it. But as it stands right now......
Hamilton > Hanifin..........
And an argument would be rightly made that Krejci > Strome.

why would they want subban? they have a goalie for the next 4 years at a high cap hit. smith would need to be shipped out for that to make sense.
krejci turns 30 next year and has a big cap hit for the next 6 years. thats not exactly az MO in terms of how they run the club.
marchand is a decent piece in return, but him and a couple picks isnt getting it done.
krug isnt anything special in terms of a player.
to get up to 3, youre going to have to give up a star or soon to be star. - flyershockey

maybe the flyers can trade from 7 to 1 but not give up any of giroux, voracek, simmonds, or the 4 d prospects. |

Giroux is a superstar, Voracek is a star, Simmons is a very good player.
The first two Philly would never trade for that pick because they are ALREADY PROVEN STARS.
Simmonds maybe you guys could trade, he is kinda like Lucic but with a little more skill. So if I were you I would be open to trading him for that pick.......maybe.
So what is your point?

so again...how exactly are you getting to 3 if you arent giving up the only pieces of value on the team? and rask isnt even that valuable with the cap hit that comes along with him. same with krejci. - flyershockey

i think you're underestimating the value of a lucic and krejci. and if they ever wanted to move rask there would be a huge market for him. |

If they were to trade up to the number 3 pick, are we SURE they would take Hanifan? What about taking Strome or Marner? I wouldn't mind seeing them pick up Strome and moving Krecji to get some cap relief.
It does seem like a lot to give up for an unproven talent. Say it was Lucic, Subban, and the 14th (Savard's contract is pretty irrelevant) ... That's giving up what the B's management has called a foundational player, and a unique talent in the league in Lucic, plus one of the biggest goalie prospects in Subban, plus your first round pick, for a higher first round pick? Just seems like a lot to me.
What about something like Krecji and the 14th for the 3rd overall? |

Yeah, Strome or Marner. Personally I'd like to see the B's go after some offensive talent rather than defense. Everyone plays defense on the Bruins... and we've already got Dougie as the cornerstone of the future... so I'd love for us to get someone like the Kessel's and Seguin's that we've had in the past that we gave up on and shipped out of here too early. |

so essentially you want to trade trash to move up to 3.... - flyershockey
you're not paying attention...
Arizona needs to fill cap space. That's where Savard actually has value. What else it takes... who knows,
I really don't see it happen though, as said before, when were the Bruins involved in a winning trade. |

I can't say that I'm an expert on hockey prospects, so I have to rely on reading crap on the internet base my garbage message board opinions off of.... but I really like the write up for Marner on eliteprospects.com:
"A dynamic offensive forward that backchecks hard and establishes his presence through playing smart, puck-possession hockey. A very quick skater gifted with great hands and hockey sense. Battles hard in all three zones and shows a willingness to do whatever it takes to get the puck to the back of the net; an unselfish player. Embodies the definition of a dynamic number-generating machine who makes the players around him better. (Curtis Joe, EP 2014)"
Sounds like a Julien player if I've ever heard of one... problem is how long is Julien going to be around to coach whoever they draft. |

except AZ doesnt need to fill cap space. they have 11 guys under contract, meaning they have 12 more. the only need to avg around 1.5 mil per signing to get to the floor. this whole AZ needs to take on other teams contracts talk is stupid. they dont. |

lucic is only signed for 1 year. theres no guarantee he resigns with AZ. why would they take on that risk for the #3 overall pick?
AZ doesnt need a goalie, they have one.
if AZ is going to move, taking on Krejci as he ages at 7.25 cap hit isnt a likely move. |
