Good call... Wideman was hated in Boston... I didn't watch Calgary too much last year, but it seemed like he had a pretty good year for them last year.

you know i always thought wdieman was a pretty good player. he had a bad spell and became the whipping boy a lot like hal gill did. which was too bad cuz the poor guy's from boston and ended up hating playing for the bruins.

When I made that comment that we have not "won" a trade, I meant over the last few years.

Horton may have been the last one we won........Seidenberg a few months earlier was a solid deal too. March and June of 2010........half a decade ago.

But since, Seguin and Boychuk are going to be historically bad for the Bruins.

We need a win in the trade column boys.

EDIT: Pasta for the 3rd........heard that ARI was offered a swap of a young stud going to them with-out the first round pick from that team.

People speculated Drouin from Tampa straight up for it.......but would you guys consider a trade like that?

So I what I've learned is Rask isn't worth much to any other team.

Damnit. Is it to late to get back The Razor for him? Maybe bring back Hannu Toivanen?

Tampa is loaded on the wing so hell yeah. Something tells me the Bolts still regret not taking jones with the second pick and I don't know if they like what they see. Plus he'll always have the stigma of playing with MacKinnon in juniors how some people can give credit to ones success to their highly talented line mate. The Pouliot treatment.

Rask, Bergy, and Hamilton all suck and you know it!

------------
They will all be on the running for the Vezina, Selke, and Norris in a year or two though......maybe a sweep.

But that proves nothing!

I would. I really like Pastrnak, but I'd definitely take Strome over him.

Never going to happen though. A team looking to acquire scoring help isn't going to ship out their best potential scorer and there's no way Arozon does it either. Not enough value even if you threw in the 14th.

I would love to get Drouin... I thought he looked awesome in the games that he played during the finals... He looked like one of the hungriest Tampa players out there. And he's only going to get better.

I think you are right.

But that's the craziness with first rounders. Right now after Ekblad, Pasta might be the best player of last years draft.

I just think people WAY over value picks over proven players.........it's like playing the lottery.

Strome or Marner are likely stud forwards and Hanifin is almost definitely a top pairing D-man............but are they going to be as good as Krejci OR Hanifin as good as Hamilton?
Realistically the ODDS say no. Although this year seems to have half a dozen players that would be number one picks easy in any other draft.

Yakopov first overall........in hindsight bet Edm would have traded it for Krejci.
Even Drouin, 3rd overall......bet they would have traded that pick for Seguin in a heartbeat. I think that was possibly on the table to be honest with you.

Unpredictable.

EDIT: Horton 3rd overall, Pouliot 4th, Connolly 6th, etc........lots of redues I bet GMs could have.

I read that Seguin for that pick plus was available from Tampa at the draft!

But we got Smith so we should be good.

Holy poop, the B's schedule actually seems to make some sense this year. Most of the back to backs seem to make sense regionally.
