Mackinnon over Eichel?

Would be nice to read if it weren't for that stupid espn insider payment crap. I disagree with Eichel being 3 and Reinhart being that low but oh well..

I guess he put MacKinnon at 2 because hes quite a bit younger when he started his rookie year....

I think it's another case of they need to wait 3 years before doing these type of "Combined drafts" or "Redrafts". Until we see them all play and grow into the type of players they can be then we're all just guessing and that's true for any Analyst, draft specialist, or Insiderr too.

I think Eichel's strength gives him the slight edge but MacKinnon is supposed to be really good. Too bad about that injury this season.

BTW, Oilers might have an Orange jersey this season and Phoenix fan with inside info claims the new uniforms are fantastic and amoung the best in the league.

But assuming for a second that he doesn't trade any picks (which I highly doubt), here is what I think our draft looks like.

21- Either Kylington or DeBrusk

51- Spencer

No, they did this like 3 or 4 years ago. Its their current set but they are supposed to have a new 3rd.

I'm not referring to the actual throwback they used this season with the different number color. They were actually supposed to be no NOB if they were actually a throwback.

I think the only reason is that Mackinnon was 11 months younger than eichel is now when drafted.

So MacKinnon put up 63 points in the NHL when Eichel put up 70 points in College Hockey at essentially the same age of 18....

Don't get me wrong, getting Eichel and using all of those picks as well as picking up any goalie will still be a great offseason for us, I'm just saying with the amount of big trades that are rumored around these parts some might be a bit miffed if the whole thing goes down like it usually does
