I'm on the same page as you!!!! My thoughts are 3 years down the road Eichel, and Reinhart are probably going to be max contracts, Risto???? Ect, Ect. We can't afford to get crazy just because we have a lot of cap room because it will bite us in the future.

I hope I'm wrong but this seems to be a risky trade. Talbot has played only 57 NHL games. Not sure I'd trade more than a 2016 3rd. But I'd imagine 51 is on the table.

Guys who steer away from corners and don't take the body are usually still scoring at that age, we are talking about kessel, not a player such as brown, Callahan or doan.

Um because oreilly plays 200 feet. kessel scores.thafs about it. 30 goals is worth 8 million. 20 goals with no defense in 5 years is Cody hodgson with a worse contract. Unless I am oblivious and all the top goal scorers are 33-34 years old....
