Didn't they reject 2 2nd rounders? Are we giving up 21 for this guy - Sabresfan-365
I can't believe they are giving up 21, I bet/hope they are giving up the two #2's and a prospect now. |

I hope I'm wrong but this seems to be a risky trade. Talbot has played only 57 NHL games. Not sure I'd trade more than a 2016 3rd. But I'd imagine 51 is on the table. - mhp
I don't hate Talbot but I don't love him either. I think we can all agree if we give up 21 for him, poop's gonna get real (frank)in sour around here.
51 and low asset would be absolutely perfect. |

He's going to do that in 5 years??? 😆😆 - Fattony1187
When he is 32 and 33??
Marty St Louis was still scoring in the 70's and 36
No reason Phil can't do the same in his early 30's |

St louis is a sure fire hall of famer, scored 100 once, and had seasons of 99, 98 98 pts, drove play himself and didn't have to make excuses of not having a "top line center" And wasn't making 8 million dollars in a cap era league. kessel will not be scoring 70 at 34 years old when he is still making 8 million dollars. Hell he didnt even do that this year. Some teams hate kessel's contract now. You think they will love it in 6 seasons??? You are delusional |

And Phil Kessel is averaging around the same ppg as future Hall of Famers Patty Kane and Alexander Ovechkin the last 4 years.
Someone needs to read up on what delusional means... |

No he is not. But to prove my point Marty played in an era were 100 was no big deal. Phil is on par with Patty Kane and Ovechkin ppg wise but I'm being "delusional" |

It looks like everyone else in the "Cam Talbot Sweepstakes" can also speak with him

fit on the roster and in the city. No surprises among the teams (BUF, CAL, DAL, EDM, SJ) with FLA appearing to look elsewhere.

One note about Cam Talbot: the teams given permission to talk to him were not given permission to talk salary. They could discuss...

Can somebody please explain to me why Calgary is looking for a goalie? The have Hiller who's a pretty solid #1, and I though people were pretty high on Ramo and the other guy Ortio or something like that, I'm too lazy to look it up. |

I can care less what he's doing now dude. That's the whole point. He's awesome now. I'm not paying someone 8 million to score 20 with no defense when he is 33 and 34.

20 goals and 35 assists for an $8 million player when the cap will be $80 million plus in 7 years will be a bargain... |
