With new contract talks in ballpark of 60M for max contract to resign Ryan O'Reilly, #Avs feel like they have no choice but to trade him..

- yen6d1

God I hope Murray says "Thanks, but hell no." I'm sorry, but there's no way O'Reilly is worth that, IMO. He's contract negotiations are exactly why I want absolutely nothing to do with him.

Good luck Colorado. You're not going to get as much for him if that's the kind of salary he's demanding. There's few teams that would be able to take that on.

Merkley is growing on me at pick 21

Kylington if he falls to 31

- homiedclown

Homie - you and I think alike - I love both of those at those picks BUT I think both may be gone before those picks unfortunately. Especially kylington - he has too much homerun potential to slip into the 2nd round. Hope I'm wrong. I would take Samsonov at 21 though and Kylington at 31, best case scenario. Gets you the top Center, best goalie in the draft and top 5 potential D; boom/bust

So we take a Goalie according to that list, and a Ruski at that..
- LamontSanford

"I think you should throw a dart at a goalie in every draft," Murray said."

that does not tell me throw a top 50 pick on one

#2 - Eichel
#21 - traded to get top end player, package that with other assets to move up, if we stay though I see whoever falls like konency, bittner, meier, kylington
#31 - depends again who drops but if no goalie has been taken yet i see samsonov as the pick
#51 - dont even bother with this pick it will be traded most likely

Kylington had a very poor season for the most part, especially the second half. He's been a mess in his own end. Most teams are going to try and stay away from that for the most part. We have the luxury of being able to take a risk and grab him due to the sheer number of picks we've had over the last few years. He's also exactly the type of Dman we don't currently have any of.

"Martin is a smooth skating offensive minded blueliner who has good hands and likes to carry the puck himself. He shows good overall mobility, sees the ice well and makes good passes and plays well under pressure"

He's was a mess because he was playing against men, I'd take him in a heart beat with the 2nd first rounder. We need an offensive defenseman who can skate and move the puck. Worth the risk IMO.

Could be fun to see him paired with Pysyk in the future. Pysyk would give him the ability to jump in the play and contribute offensively.

I wouldn't hate taking him at 21, but I'd like getting him at 31 that much more.

Man, I Fn love Pennywise, one of the funniest characters ever created. Tim Curry absolutely nailed it in that role. Laugh every time I see him.

I do not see lack or talbot as a long term answer, just a 2 year stop gap

I am not interested in giving up assets for either when there are a bunch of serviceable UFA's

side note talbot got a vote for a vezina

- homiedclown

That (frank) should never be allowed to vote again...

What's your take on clone golf clubs?

I ask because as a beginner, I got a custom fit set of generic irons, custom fitted (I'm 6'3") from some brand called Turbo Power back in 2009 (I think). I actually liked them, and can hit the ball decently well with them. I was thinking of going that route again. I keep getting mixed reviews online. People that think cloned clubs are okay don't seem to have a problem, but there seems to be a lot of pretentiousness about using clones out there as well.

Not really sure the hit or miss rate between 21 and 31 are all that different but I see your point.
