What number does he get on the Flyers? I say he should go with 77.

reasons to be happy

For everyone:
Flyers will draft several good quality players/prospects today in their quest of rebuilding for hockeys ultimate prize

Personally
last day of working 5 days weeks as I ramp down to retirement from the rat race over the next 18 months.

Maybe I will be less cynical about Bettman and the NHL....... NAAAHHHH

Ha! That would clear up No. 1 and No. 2 on my list

B's are in a bind with Hamilton -- yeah, you can dump salary, but you still gotta find a partner to do it with and they gotta take what you're offering to do it

- AllInForFlyers

thing is, I would do that trade from both sides

If Boston can afford to pay O'Reilly, they can afford to pay Hamilton.

Not long ago, there was a prospect by the name of Mathew Barzal who was projected to be the third amigo to Connor McDavid and Jack Eichel. While these projections have long fizzled away, Barzal remains as one of the top prospects in June’s NHL Entry Draft. Even though Barzal missed 28 regular season games, he finished only one point behind Ryan Gropp in Seattle Thunderbirds’ team scoring with 57 points.
It is a shame that Barzal hasn’t been able to stay healthy for a complete WHL season. At 6’0”, he’s neither big nor small but boy does he ever have a motor. To go along with his motor, he has elite hockey sense. That’s why you see astronomical assist tallies on his stat-line because he’s a purebred playmaker. Watching him with the puck, there’s so much composure and poise to his game. He knows where the puck has to go as soon as it hits his stick; it’s a thing of beauty.
NHL Comparison: Nicklas Backstrom of the Washington Capitals

It’s also worth noting that Barzal likes to try to play like Claude Giroux. “I really like to watch Claude Giroux.” he said to Andrew Eide of Sportsnet “ I think we have pretty similar characteristics on the ice. He’s a passer but he likes to score and he’s always there in the big moments.”

Lucic could go, too -- they are so jammed up against the cap

They couldn't even try to re-sign Soderberg

Looks like Maple Leafs are out on Kim Dillabough as their goalie coach. Flyers are now favorite to land him. #tvasports

2 "solid" prospects, one forward, one d, and 7 overall to get to 3 ? HELL NO ! REally depends on who those "Solid" prospects are.

If the D prospect is either Sanheim,Morin or Ghost, I'll go postal !
The forward prospects don' bother me as much
- twpguy

Eklund response:
one of those D would be included.

Why? just why? why would you move one of those and a forward prospect to move uP. I swear I love and hate the draft with a passion. every year its excitement and anxiety just like the trade deadline.

A whole new city with policemen for Lucic to ask if they know who he is.

Can't wait!

Because you think the player you're moving up to get is a franchise player.

We could not co-exist at a draft party. Our mutual anxiety would cause an implosion for sure.

It's weird, though -- it's still hard to get a feel on if anybody is truly willing to pull the trigger on this stuff

Moving into the Top 5 has just always been so difficult...lots of people talk about it but it so rarely happens

I love talking about it, but when you look at the metrics, teams with high selections tend to make their picks as they are slotted

If I am Hexy, I float that out there so someone else pays more to get that pick
