Agreed, the Provolov stuff could be to tempt others to trade for 7 to move down or to try to cover there true love for a forward or a double blind and they actually do like Provy for all we know

Interesting to see that a devils fan thinks he knows what hextall is going to do. Considering hextall eliminated coaching candidates for speaking to the media in any capacity about the flyers interest. I don't think hextall moves up he might not even desire a defenseman. Smoke and mirrors.

Given the amount of suredness he spoke with, I'm ecstatic that the Devils are leaking out all of their trade possibilities and draft scenarios for everyone to know.

Draft (NBA style): Last night, the Knicks fans booed the #4 overall pick by the Knicks. A lot. I'm sure this will be forgotten nationally in a day. Were it Philadelphia, it would be added to the "terrible fans" notebook to be brought up every other month as the latest example.

Devils trading down to gain more picks. Only way to fill the seats with warm bodies.

Per McKenzie most teams trying to move to three are trying to do so to land Hanifin or Provorov.

Looks like we might have to give something costly up for Ivan.

I still say go for it. The Flyers could conceivably offer up the Schenns and 7 and still be in good shape. Throw in Chicago's pick if need be. Should be enough to power anyone else off the board. At the end of the day I'm not missing BSchenn over a 1/2 D man.

If they trade up to #3 it should be to take Marner.

I really hope we are able to trade down and acquire more picks in the first and second round of this draft.

Maybe we can trade a vet d man for a pick or two as well.

With the exception of the top pick or two, never believe anyone who speaks in absolutes about whom a certain team is going to take if available. Now, more than ever, such information is kept top secret and is subject to change right up to the time the actual pick is made. When there are leaks ahead of time, there are often personal agendas driving them so one has to alert to potential misinformation. A few very select journalists, such as Bob McKenzie, are ever made privy to what the actual decision-makers are thinking ahead of time. Most other sources, whether members of scouting staffs, players' junior coaches or GMs, etc may pass along accurate info but things are still subject to change. Agents and "family advisors", naturally, true to pump their clients' tires.

I don't think that does it though. Don't think it's enough if I'm Arizona and there are several other teams probably giving better players.

I think Flyers have a good group of D prospects now. They need some scoring power. They need a Tarensanko

Perhaps with the exception of Carolina the Flyers at 7 probably are offering the highest pick. From the rumored CBJ offer the Schenn are pretty good trade chips. I wouldn't go any higher than BSchenn and if they want Hagg over Luke so be it. I think that is a solid offer for the pick.

Carolina can't offer much more than 5 and Skinner.

Probably Sixers fans wearing Knicks gear. That's the only thing that really makes sense.

Probably. But let's face it, the Flyers don't end up this close to the 3rd overall pick very often. If they can land a cornerstone D man with a move like that I say go for it.

I'm fine with standing pat at 7. There are plenty of high end players in the top half of the first round.

I know!! I am pumped. I think Hexy is gonna hit it out of the park with the picks and re stock the cupboards with all of these picks. The tricky part will be dumping some dmen and creating some cap space so that he can add the odd FA to fill holes. 2 years down the road I can see us saying, remember that draft and how it set us up to contend for 5 years? Fingers crossed.

When New York fans do it, they are just displaying passion.

When Philly fans do it, they are terrible fans.

It's one of my all time favorite bullpoop sportswriter narratives. You can tell how big of a hack a sportswriter is if they throw in a "snowballs at Santa Claus" reference.

Sorry philly. Your dreams of provorov will get crushed when we trade down to CBJ and they snatch him away right before your eyes. Don't worry though, I hear Werenski is good

Didn't Eric Chouinard eventually become Flyers property at one point? He never amounted to much.
