God damnit just (frank)ing stay at #7 and take what you can get. Hextall has been good about keeping our prospects, I really hope he doesn't give any up at this point. There are still gonna be so many (frank)ing good prospects at #7. If we don't get provorov, take werenski if he's still all stuck on getting a dman. I'd personally like to see him take a skilled power forward. Kyle connor, Mikko Rantanen, timo mier, even crouse I'd be happy with even though I don't think he's as skilled as those others.

I can certainly see that happening, but they were highly motivated to move Legwand's cash...did get the 21st...yeah, Lehner could terrorize them, but if you gotta dump the cash, sometimes you gotta swallow hard

Those concussion woes...I never saw Lehner got cleared. Last thing I read was that he was still having issues. Was it recent when he got cleared?

Agreed: Not quite the prize, but they might really like somebody -- this has always felt like one of those drafts where the skill level or what somebody projects a kid to be might make them move

The league just feels so different, because the cap impacts everything you do, teams hold young players hostage, and nobody you want gets to unrestricted free agency and teams aren't aggressive enough with offer sheets

To me, you almost have to do stuff in the draft anymore, because you almost can't get players you might want any other time

I guess it's because I feel confident that Lehner's gonna end up being a top-15 goalie... handing a division rival that's about to get Jack Eichel the biggest missing piece in their cupboard is gonna come back to bite them hard.
