Hexy has had exploratory talks with several teams about moving some D-men. Stay tuned. #Flyers - Winning

Sweeney says that Hamilton was not eager to sign a longer term extension & felt an OS was possible.
OK, fine, if that's an issue, trade him. But get full value. That's not an asset you hang a sing that says "For Sale, Best offer" on. - Jsaquella
Exactly. I'd be looking for a roster player, or a prospect that can step in immediately and contribute. Not getting either of those looks bad, on paper at least. If they get crazy return for those pics its all for not. Right now it looks like they took the first offer they got.

I think there is a chance Luke won't be a Flyer much longer.

If you're going to move a guy like Hamilton, you fax every other GM in the world.
They moved Hamilton for 15th, 45th and 52nd, and he's a legitimate top 4(at worst) NHL D-man at age 23.
Griffin Reinhart is a really good prospect, but hasn't developed as quickly as hoped. He got the Islanders 16th and 33rd.
Sweeney made a horrible value deal on Hamilton - Jsaquella
I can't imagine anyone could disagree with that.
I think AZ pulled the rug out but you can't make the Hamilton trade and then completely stumble over the picks. Horrible day for the Bruins that I thought started out well.
Their mix now is almost trash. They even dropped a trade piece in front of their best prospect |

Perhaps, but at the same time, they really undervalued the kid. Worst case, you sign him to a short term deal and trade him at the TDL or draft next summer |

Really wouldn't be surprised if MDZ is dealt. I don't think he figures into their long term plans and it appears the two sides aren't close
I just wonder how much value he actually has around the league. - PhillySportsGuy
Given his off ice persona and the recent reaction of the Flyers to those types of players I wouldn't think MDZ will be here when the kids start camp.
I have no sources and am wrong almost as often as I'm correct. |

I couldn't agree more. They sold short. I can only imagine that Sweeny had a deal he thought he could flip to make a trade as weak as that for Hamilton. |

I just get the feeling Hexy isn't in the mood to deal with his contract bullpoop.
I know people are going to freak out when I say this, but the team would be better off sacrificing next year in order to gather more prospects and picks while trying to unload bad contracts.
By 2016-17, I expect Morin, Ghost, Sanheim and Provorov to all be starting for the Flyers. That's the season they should be aiming to hit the upswing. IMHO!!!! |

I think he has the most value on who is available. I highly doubt Streit is available unless Hexy gets a crazy stupid offer for him.

It was weird that he made all three picks. You'd think he'd deal one for a future first and try to stagger the prospects a little.
The whole thing was odd |

No. They need to deal us Phaneuf and eat 6 mil a season on his deal.
Then we're even. |

Having a scotch to cheers hexys good work. Don't know a lot about konecky but the tsn guys said generally good stuff about him. Provorov is a home run. I wonder if hell end up being one of the best dmen we've ever drafted? - Hextall271

I mean each team has it's board, but I would have gone Barzal, Connor and maybe Zboril, but more likely Chabot or even Konecny there. - Jsaquella
Mr saq. Happy with the 2 picks? |
