Legwand.. WHY wasn't he a healthy stratch in the playoffs?

Our bottom six is solid whats the point of him if we have Larrson?

What can he possibly know that you don't as far as giving up the 21st for Lehner and Legwand?

Legwand was a dump. That's noted.

He's the GM and a great scout. We're neither. That's what.

1) I can't imagine who he was bidding against

2) I would have gone with a UFA if that was the cost

- Slump Buster

UFA all day long IMO if that is the price for a guy with what seems to be a soft coconut.

Wow that was a poopty trade. We gained 2 pro contracts for 1 when we need less. Not to mention I could give 2 poops about Lehner and Legwand. Your welcome Ottawa. Didn't Murray work for them.....oh wait.

Two sources outside #Sabres tell me they're trying for a lot more on the trade front. No real surprise there. Has to include ROR.

Sheep.

This trade just turned an exciting evening watching the draft into watching re-runs of Murder She Wrote at 8:00.

Look, I'm not telling you guys that I love the trade. I don't. But it's done and I'm going to remain optimistic about it. It's your choice to love it or hate it or cry about it. But I'm not, because what happened, happened. You're not going to convince me to cry about it either.

So I'd suggest to remain optimistic.

Sabres fan give this trade a chance. Lehner still has loads of upside. Your GM knows him well. You've got lots of picks. Don't judge yet

How do I (frank)ing justify it? Because we have no choice. That's why.

It's optimism, and you can either wallow in your (frank)ing tears or you can look up, hold the (frank) on and wait for him to grow into what most scouts think he can be.

- TheSabresTaco

Really???
Or, he can have another concussion and retire early?!
HE IS NOT WORTH AN 21ST OVERALL?
DO YOU FREAKING UNDERSTAND????

Yeah I don't know what he sees looking at his numbers and concussion history that we can't? Also a strange trade with in your own division to a rival. Talbot should easily get the Rangers into the first round after this.

Trying to get ROR without #21 will cost us a lot of guys we really won't want to give up

Could you imagine if Bills fans took the same approach about Richard Jauron? "He's the coach. We're not." It doesn't take an expert in a field to see that some moves are mistakes.

We're only talking about the trade on its merits. Overall optimism/skepticism is irrelevant.

Somebody needs to clarify this trade for me because I can't process it. I'm a huge Murray fan but WTF!!!!! Lehner is around the 5th goalie that I would have wanted, with concussion issues as of March. Murray said that we was looking to pick up a mid-20s top 6 winger, and we get a washed up 35 year old, at 3.5 mill. I just don't get it, it makes ZERO sense!!!!!

Lehner is a really good goalie when healthy, its a pretty big risk for him to remain that way but we'll see how it pans out.
