Enroth is .908 and has reached his potential.

Lindback is worse.

- TheSabresTaco

Lehner's was .905 this season

I hear ya, smitty...imo, 2013 was a pretty deep draft...would place it second to 2003 this century
- Michael Pachla

This trade just scares me a lot. I had faith in GMTM even after the Kane deal which was iffy for many. This trade just really makes me scratch my head. Like why couldn't they give us something else? Like a B level prospect. Something to make it more acceptable.

Do you not think he's tried??
- stashu

Of course I think he tried.

I don't like the return that the 21st pick got.

Giving up a first rounder for a guy who has shown promise but has a concussion history is not something I would say is a good deal.

Edit: Where he heck have you been

I'm also the turtle. The way I look at it, this team couldn't possibly be any worse this year than what we've seen the last 2.

Time to move on and get excited. If you don't like what's being done, there's the door. Feel free to GTFO.

I actually like Lehner, he was number 2 on my list of goalies I wanted. But for a first, absolutely dumb. For the price we are going to pay Legwand and Lehner we could have brought in Dubnyk on July 1st.

The ship has now sailed but Lack for #31 doesn't look so bad now, does it?

The silver lining in all of this might be that GMTM has raided our cupboards pretty good. Probably not enough left in them for him to trade for ROR. Unless he goes psychotic and offers up Reinhart, Big Z and a bunch of other prospects/picks. He wouldn't go psycho on us would he?

1 year. No biggie at all.
- TheSabresTaco

Doesn't matter it's money we didn't need to spend on a washed up player.

I am starting to warm up to it a bit as I actually like Lehner. I think what disappoints me the most was that i was hoping to use 21 to move up to get a top 6 player.

Maybe the bright side of this is that we can't use 21 to make a foolish trade to get ROR (knocking on wood).

- Slump Buster

I don't mind at all trading for Lehner. Trading that 1st is what hurts me.

I thought lehner would be the best of the group that we could get at the cheapest because of concussion problems. Instead Tim overpaid his uncle because his uncle knows how much he likes lehner.

The other thing that is going under the radar here that reallyyyyyyy pisses me off is the fact that Legwand will probably start as our 2nd line center and take needed ice time away from Reinhart...

Kane Girgensons Ennis
Moulson Legwand Reinhart?
Foligino Eichel Gionta

That's a three line set up that gives you a bottom three NHL team in my opinion. I also wouldn't be surprised now if Reinhart starts in the AHL..

And with the Sabres, Lindback's was .924. Can't just look at one chapter and know the whole story.

Like I said. I don't love it, but I'm not about to freak out about it either.

This is kind of a poor point as it takes guys a few years to get to the NHL. I wouldn't really expect a guy drafted in 2012-2014 to be in the show as they would still only be 22 or younger.

Also, the guys at 21 in this draft compare to guys 10 spots higher in other drafs.

- Slump Buster

Couldn't be happier with Brock Nelson who we picked with the 30th overall.
