There were other more beneficial ways to do that like signing Odyua or trading for a veteran defenseman. Not a center. This is where I have a problem with it but some on here seem to think its all cotton candy and roses.

It'll be years before we know whether or not this is a good trade if you ask me. It all depends on how Lehner does and what the person drafted at 21 ends up doing. So minimum, you're looking at 3-4 years down the road. By then you'll have moved on and probably killed the brain cells that house this memory by drinking too much beer.

That's at least 9 million. And we'll have to sign or acquire another forward. We only need to fill another 5 or so million.

The feeling seems to be that after around the low teens the draft becomes really hit and miss. They may find someone who is ranked 24 or 25 on their list at 31. Or you can move 31+51 to get back into the first round.

They may. Enroth and Neuvirth both had some not so nice things to say when they left and that makes a difference whether you want to believe it or not.
