I read that as all they know so far is that it contains pick 15. There's probably more to it. If not, Boston needs to really re-evaluate what the hell they're doing. - HonkFortheGoose
And Murray needs to re-think his gig. |

If that's all it took to get a top pairing young defeneseman then Murray's trade is looking a lot worse.. I would have gladly traded 21 both of our 2nd's this year for a player of Hamilton's stature. |

NYC in August...stinky and sticky.
That doesn't sound right but it is true... - DynamicThreads

no youre right pick 15 has more value than 21 and zadorov - Mentalorgasm5
Again, do you really think Boston would have traded us a guy like Hamilton, who is beyond better than Zadorov at this point, to a division rival for said Zadorov and the 21st?
It would be like us trading them Ristolainen. Would you trade them Risto for a 1st and a D-man?
Didn't think so. |

Maybe there is something with Hamilton we don't know. You would think Chirelli would have offered up the same picks for him considering Edmonton needs defensemen...
I like Hamilton though, so who knows. |

I disagree, it make Boston look clueless and Calgary Einstein.

Since its being reported he was traded for just picks. Yea they probably would have, since it would have been more value. |

I doubt they trade Hamilton within the Division, where the hell is Edmonton on that? |

You mean like how the Sens would never give us Lehner

Hey guys, it's been a while... I like the trade honestly. Lehner has the potential to be a solid goaltender. |

He has said on record the drop off of players is around 20.
Now knowing that one would probably slip to him at 21 is quite possible.
He got 2 NHL players for a ???? that is 2-5 years from playing here.
Last time Legwand was moved at the deadline he got 3 players/pick in return. Not saying they'll get a 1st back but he is one season off a 50 point season.
I'm not excited about the deal but I like Lehner over Lack and Talbot by a mile. He still has 31 and 51 to move up if he chooses to. - dadeadhead
Best summation of the trade I've heard so far.
Things I like about the trade:
1. Lehner's Age
2. Ottawa spent 3 yrs developing him.
3. Calder Cup Winner
4. Murray knows this player and is not on "Mushrooms"
5. One of our Prospect Forwards may be more valuable to Colorado than the 21st pick as they would prefer a player within a year rather than I player in 3-4 yrs.

yaaa i think the Sabres/Bruins trade lines are quite sour....reference us snubbing their offers for Stewart.....
This trade is batpoop stupid for Boston....but they would probably like to avoid trading Hamilton within the division |

It would be like trying to get Ceci or Zibanejad from them although, I'd love Zibanejad. |

Based on Murray's partying history, not sure #4 is entirely accurate.
