Things escalated. That's for sure.

He had nothing for me. Said he heard Marchands name being thrown around a few weeks ago but that went dead pretty quickly. If he hears anything today he will text me but doubts he will as the people he hears info from are currently in Florida lol.

I think Murray's made his move today. If something falls into his lap he'll take it but I don't think we're in the running for a ROR or any big names anymore. July 1st might be a different story though.

Based on Murray's partying history, not sure #4 is entirely accurate.

Most seem to be calming down. Eichel will still be here and although it might not be ideal it's not going to kill us long run imo.

I think the biggest thing to remember is that it's a trade within the division. Buffalo would have never gotten Hamilton for the same price that Calgary did because of the division. Legwand was a throw in which TM needed to take if he wanted his guy.

It is what it is. Murray got what he wanted. Things could be worse.

I still fail to see how these trades are comparable.
One was for a young goaltender and a decent vet presence and one was for a young top 4 potential D.

Not really comparing the players involved just the qaulity and return net for each team.

If I'm in Boston, I'm much more upset about their trade, then Murray's trade today.

I take the much higher 1st and one 2nd especially after reading Cullen's TSN article on where players are picked and their success in the NHL. 2nd round picks are a big crap shoot. 21st picks a smaller crap shoot.

I agree, but at this point it's moot. I'm hoping Irbe is going to take Lehner and make him what some scouts think he can potentially be, and Legwand just doesn't get in the way of the young guys and maybe helps them out a bit.

I had my freakout in the very beginning. Now it's just end the day with Eichel on the team and I'll be okay.

But in all honesty, it won't kill us, just a bump in the road.
