Grigorenko leaving to the KHL really wouldn't be the worst thing. We wouldn't be forced to put him through waivers and he gets a couple more years of development without taking a roster spot on the Sabres.

If he doesn't sign his tender he is no longer our property I believe. With no transfer agreement in place I think there is a risk we lose his rights.
