O'Reilly is a very good player, and we are without a doubt a better team right now, but my god I'm annoyed

I have spent hours watching guys like Grigorenko in Rochester, Compher at Michigan, Joel Armia, Brendan Lemiuex etc. I wanted to see these guys play for us.

And before people talk about how they would never make it, other teams wanted them

Quantity/Quality. Rantanen hasn't played a single game and he may be the best of that bunch. Soderberg is overrated. Solid but not quite the two way stud a lot of people say he is.

Grigorenko was done and anyone with half a brain knew it.
Armia I too very much liked but his game just never developed on the smaller ice surface, no big loss.
Compher is awesome sorry to see him go but he was so buried in our depth he wouldnt have made it here for years anyway, if at all.
Lemiuex was a problem child, it has been confirmed from several sources now that he was not going to sign here, good riddance.

The players we got for them are established in the NHL already, and on top of that, are good to great! Now add in Eichel? Holy sh!t we are gonna be good!

Sabres fans - the Zadorov / O'Reilly trade is another win by Murray. 30 G's and 40 A's might be RO's cap, but Z is a headache in the L-room.

If I am wrong about this, than I apologize. But after the Lehner trade this morning, did you say that you were afraid that Murray would fall in love with guys he drafted?

I guess it does not matter who said it. Point being that fans do that just as much. They are afraid that the guys Buffalo has drafted will be successful and say "He was ours". I prefer having the known over the unknown.
