Talbot for 21? That was laughed at meanwhile Murray is gonna trade the pick now for a goalie who yes has potential but he finished with a goals against over 3 and has concussion history and a 34 year old forward with no future on that team.

I'm trying to spin it to make it seem better, but this is an overpayment and I don't think it's even close. Especially with a player like Legwand thrown in. He'll be 35 by the time the season starts. Don't see what he could possibly bring to this team that we need.

We talk about Eichel having a ton of pressure on him, Lehner better stand on his head every game otherwise this deal will look worse and worse.

This is a bad deal if you are going to move a 1st round pick WITHIN OUR DIVISION no less, you DON'T make a deal like this. Lehner and his concussion problems are an issue and Legwand is done another crap contract we don't need. Other goalies we could have had and used that 21st for another deal.

I'm going to defend him, because someone has to.

He's still very young, won a calder and has some great potential. 99% of all goalies don't reach their potential until their mid 20's. He's shown to be excellent. Him and Anderson have had proportional seasons, so it could be attributed to the team in front as well. Concussions aside, he really is a pretty good young goalie.

We just traded for a 35 year old center on a team of 3rd liners and a goalie with a losing record who Murray has a man crush on for our incredibly valuable 21st overall pick!!!!! We could have done so much with that.. It's one of the worst hockey trades I've ever seen
