Why so negative? We added two top-6 forwards and a potential #1 goalie and gave up no roster players what so ever. Zadorov is a loss, but he was likely going to be in Rochester this year anyway. - Pierceme69
The two top 6 forwards come with stipulations in the form of short contracts and being notorious difficult to negotiate with. I could see it being a major distraction when instead we should have mature vets showing the young guys what this league is about. Zadorov was not going to be in Rochester. Just my opinion. |

He can definitely lead by example but i think it's ultimately Eichel's "C" to lose. - Sabresfan-365
Not right away though. |

At least a season and a half til it's vacant, likely won't be re-assigned til the 17/18 offseason. I'm fine with that |

I think he definitely was. He would have been last year if not for the stupid CHL rules. |

Eichel better be the captain, or our team wont be winning anything. |

Word. Gionta fills that void well for now. What he lacks in overall ability is made up in leadership. |

One of the things that sticks out to me from Murray's presser is how he said people always tell him ROR is the guy. Apparently Ennis came back from the World Championships praising him. I could see those two being linemates. |

He played with Crosby and Crosby loved him. They played very well together too. |

Maybe they flop Zemgus and Samson - 2 powerful names - regularly? |

I'd prefer not to loose Larssons. I can definitely see hodgson getting bought out now. I think he could bounce back, but if theres no room, why take the bet? |

I think ROR will be locked up very quickly, not sure you make that trade without knowing exactly what your going to have to pay him. For better or worse I think ROR is here for awhile. |

I think Larsson is on line 4
Kane O'Reilly Ennis
Moulson Eichel Girgensons
McGinn Reinhart Gionta
Deslauriers Larsson McCormick
Hodgson bought out
Legwand plays when someone needs a blow
Foligno hopefully traded for a Dman. |

I like larsson as well, Legwand could hit the AHL for all I care, but some of the guys that played hard last season need to duke it out for a spot, and if there is interest from other teams, we can shop them. I really liked Phil Varone's play: not a stud on the score sheet, but hard working, knows his role and is willing to do what is needed. Could be a nice 4th liner, perhaps 3rd with the right paring for another team |
