We are not going to be a good playoff team for a few years so as nice as it would be to have his toughness... it would have been a sideways move. If we were 5 years ahead of now, the timing would be great.... he'll be retired by the time we are a contender.

I wouldn't complain about having him but what ever. I don't know why people think it's so important for us to compete with the contenders right now. Look around you... this team is in transition. Why use assets for prime players. Sign them if they are available but turn assets into picks and prospects.

I think the same goes for ROR - he's been comfortable at both wing and center but was primarily on the wing last year, if I recall correctly

I get that, but whats more concerning is the fact of continued poor asset management that continues to plague this organization. I'm holding out hope that a couple of trades are consummated within the next 12 hrs or the idea of recouping a few picks in a deep draft just went down the tubes.

He was my assumption to play wing but I think it will depend on Reinhart as the move to me speaks of insulation for the young guys
