Slippery centre-forward who is patient and disciplined when in control of the puck. Displays excellent feet and bursts. can stop/start very quickly and his agility and separation skills and agility can cause fits in defenders. Makes plays by drawing in defenders, going laterally, then times perfect passes to his wingers that were able to jump free while he held on. Always keeps feet going when he doesn’t have the puck, and gets loose from his checks in scoring areas. Seems like more of a scorer than a strong set-up man. Needs to get a stronger presence on the wall and stay involved when he doesn’t have the puck on his stick. Has committed to the University of Minnesota.

University of North Dakota is what i heard

A dynamic offensive winger and natural goal scorer. Has great instincts and is able to quickly get into position for premium scoring chances; possesses an accurate release on his shot which he can get off in the blink of an eye. He always knows where his linemates are, and is a great passer; that being said, his individual puck possession play is incredible and sets him apart as an offensive player. He will need to work on defensive zone coverage and a slew of small details such as board battles, but Brock Boeser has a ton of elite-level scoring potential due to the way he can read, make, and finish plays.

Some scouts are seeing quite a bit of Patrick Sharp in Mr. Boeser. He skates well and has a complete set of goal-scorer's tools. Doesn't give up his own end, and transitions to offense in such a quick and concrete way that he can catch the opposition off-guard.

This reminds me of the year Nashville picked my boy Colton Sissons, he dropped further than I expected. I think Merkley's going early 2nd round.

Not bad. Physicality is an issue but that can be worked on. I've heard they feel like he can be Kesler-type of a top 6 nature...he has that upside. Big right hand shot.
