If you were expecting the Canucks to get another 1st, well then you are disappointed.

To me the real disappointment will be if we don't get at least one 2nd tomorrow. Today went as expected... got a good prospect late in the draft. It's all I expected on day 1.

Some of these teams grabbing 2nds today may be looking to trade a 2nd tomorrow.

COL is wrong, ROR will be more valuable next year than Soderberg, Rantanen, Grigorenko and Zadorov. Those guys will be role players next year and he's more of a core player.

EDM, CGY, LA yes. ARI meh, I like Strome and Merkley but they won't be impact players next year IMO. SJ, I think Meier is close to NHL-ready but we'll see if they want to send him back or not. WPG had a great draft but I don't see either players they drafted helping them next year.
