I understand you want the old core moved so the team can suck, but it's just not as easy as people make it out to be. Benning and Linden are walking a fine line by injecting youth slowly into the fold. - LeftCoaster
That is wrong.
I think Corrado is better defensively than Bieksa
I think Virtanen would be better than Higgins
Being tired of these underachievers and giving someone else a chance is not hoping we suck . There is a huge difference.
I don't care anymore about 2011 . We have won 3 playoff games since then . We are hanging on to a wilting team |

Because he has value? I would fire Benning on the spot if he did that but thankfully he's not an idiot(anyone who's suggesting to waive Bieksa needs to follow a new sport). |

Bieksa will take one of Corrado or Clendennings spot on the roster next season. |

Why not? - VanHockeyGuy
What would be the point? Jeez, you guys are a negative bunch over here who think a rebuild is as simple as flicking a switch. If it was so easy to trade older players for prospects and picks and then become a great team again within a couple of years then every team would do that. It's good for younger players to get experience in the AHL. Look at the Oilers and how "successful" they have been by injecting all that youth in their line up. They have been god awful for years and some of their young guys have been damaged by all the losing. |

You're in a forgiving mood this morning.
I just wish JB could have got rid of some of the dead weight off this team instead of the one players that still had some use to this team.
I agree the goaltender position is crowded but man do I wish JB would have been able to swing a deal for KB and other dead end players. I know there is still time but the draft is a good place to get a bit more value for your junk.
Oh well. Here's to the slow methodical retool. - bloatedmosquito
You can't force teams to take your over rated players and give you what the fans are demanding. People have lost their minds.
KB will be gone at the TDL. He will suck it up and help us get a better draft position.
I don't know why people think teams should be lining up for our dead weight. How is that the GM's fault.

Doubt it, higher chance that Neill would've been there for the later 5th since he's ranked low. They wouldn't risk waiting for Pilon or Korostelev. |

What do you think his value is? If he did he would have been gone this weekend. He probably gave a list of 2 teams to JB ala Kesler. He doesn't want to leave VAN, he sucks, we don't need him, we could use the cap relief, he's taking the spot of a young defenseman. More to come... |
