What do you think his value is? If he did he would have been gone this weekend. He probably gave a list of 2 teams to JB ala Kesler. He doesn't want to leave VAN, he sucks, we don't need him, we could use the cap relief, he's taking the spot of a young defenseman. More to come...

LeBrun said SJ offered a 2016 2nd and Canucks wanted 39th this year.

But yeah, let's waive him instead! (frank)ing stupid suggestion. Mike (frank)ing Milbury is smarter than that.

Wouldn't mind seeing Van take VLADIMIR TKACHYOV with a 6th if he is there

Benning dipping heavily into QMJHL and USHL. Curious
- bezz44

Gaudette has 30 points in 50 games. Erik Foley(Jets 3rd rounder) had 54 points in 55 games on the same team so I'm not too pumped about this pick.

Really hoping this deal gets completed now that the draft is over. No rush if it wasnt going to be for this years draft.

I think you're going to see mainly off the board picks now, if they wanted a guy that is widely considered BPA then they would have scooped him up with one of the 5th's

You can't force teams to take your over rated players and give you what the fans are demanding. People have lost their minds.

KB will be gone at the TDL. He will suck it up and help us get a better draft position.

I don't know why people think teams should be lining up for our dead weight. How is that the GM's fault.

- boonerbuck

Because all our dead weight comes with at least three pieces of flare?

Good point. Have too many dmen to start the season so something still has to give.

He typically shines during contract years but no one short of a top pairing dman will shine next to #5.

Wait now. That's not it. If you are going to be bad then be really bad. No point in riding the fence. Canuck ownership needs to get some (frank)ing balls and make a commitment to getting better and doing it quickly.

This puzzyfuking around while trying to please the entire fan base (rebuild while trying to make the playoffs) is a stupid direction to take. It's mediocrity at its finest and I'm stunned that some fans are embracing it after so many years of mediocrity.

Rebuilds are not keeping old farts
- VANTEL

Not even anywhere near next season yet. Stop being so pathetic. Teams may not have been willing to give up picks in this draft for our dead weight but maybe they now agree to move some prospects instead.

(frank) Vantel... take some fkn medication will you. You sound like a fool thinking we should be years ahead of the process after just 1 fkn year.

That's the other thing-- How many of these picks just don't pan out for one reason or another?

He does at least have some skill so I can't hate the pick. Plus that video I posted above is awesome.

I agree, they should get bad, and the faster the better, that said, you can't force other teams to take your older players, the players with NTC's have to agree and there's a thing called the salary cap for other teams.

What would be the point? Jeez, you guys are a negative bunch over here who think a rebuild is as simple as flicking a switch. If it was so easy to trade older players for prospects and picks and then become a great team again within a couple of years then every team would do that. It's good for younger players to get experience in the AHL. Look at the Oilers and how "successful" they have been by injecting all that youth in their line up. They have been god awful for years and some of their young guys have been damaged by all the losing.
- iknowbest

There's no point trying to reason with this infantile bunch. They'd rather wallow in their own misery & self pity.
