Jeez you take a break from hockey for a month and when you get back the guy who was standing on the ledge is trying to get everyone else off the ledge

I was kind of thinking about MR FLAMES FAN and his meltdown.

I'll admit that I'm a fan and reality is ignored sometimes but I have to believe that if I'm getting a 3rd and next year's 7th I'm trading Higgins or Bieksa for that, not lack. Higgins and bieksa are dead end players for us. No future. Lack has a future. Not sure why the trade was made...
- bloatedmosquito

Bieksa is a dead end player. I like to see him fight occasionally, not play.

5 1st round picks in the last 3 years? I guess that hasnt happened?

You are just another Canuck fan who thinks all the changes for the upcoming season happen on draft day. Of course your outlook for the team is so bad. It's June and you think JB is done.

- boonerbuck

5 1st round picks... how many of them are playing on the team? How many spots are there for them? I would be less upset if he hadn't stated he was looking to recoup his 2nd and 3rd round picks and said he could get them with Lack. Lack for an early 3rd and a 7th next year is underwhelming when you see Edmonton giving away what they did for Talbot and Buffalo did for Lehner.

Sure, not all of it has to happen on draft day, but draft day is when you get the most value for your players. It's been proven time and time again and he can't even get a sniff. I was willing to give him a change, but I expected him to do much more than he did today. We're still hard up against the cap with a lot of RFAs to sign.

I lost a bet and had some fun with it by trolling Lefty and a few others. Sue me!

Benning didn't do well on the Lack deal.

Goalie market sucked. Talbot return was lower than everyone thought too.

I've never said anything about all changes come draft day. Never said it once. But the draft day is a good time to get some extra value. I'm not confident that bieksa can have another good year and his value will drop even further. Maybe you can convince me different but I think this draft day was the best time to get something of value for KB.

"A high energy player who can really shoot the puck. Has very good acceleration and fluid stride. Gets to the loose pucks and has good instincts where to go with it. Long term project who needs to build strength. His puck smarts alone will garnish him consideration."

That's the point. (frank) the third round pick he should have hung on to the asset, like we did with Bieksa. That pick was a roll of the dice, certainly not a game changer.

I seem to recall Bieksa being a perennial contract year all-star...

Then waive Markstrom? Or trade him for like a late 4th or a 5th?

For years you come on here female doging about Bieksa more than any other human on the planet and then 10 minutes ago you say trade him at TDL. Another three quarters of a year you want me to watch his ineptness and listen to you preach how bad he is.
- VANTEL

Listen up princess... rebuilding this team is going to be painful. You clearly are not up to the task. Stop being so weak.

I've never ever ever demanded we dump Bieksa for nothing or waive him at any point. This is where you and I differ. I want best assets for players leaving.... you are happy with just dumping who you don't like... it's about you not the team. You run in circles. You cant even pick which direction you want this team to go... you just want to change players for entertainment.
