I'm shocked by this. they just missed the playoffs and they could have tried to unload Chara, Krecji. There has to be more to this. Sweeny is defnitely making a statement today that's for sure. - Cptmjl
Seguin gone, Hamilton gone. they are good at trading young cornerstone pieces. |

Fairly obvious Sweeney is blowing it up and starting over again.
Bergeron and Chara next to go I would bet. |

wow ! 13-14-15 that's really cool , don't know if I've ever seen that. B's got this Draft by the short and curlies ! - Bradlee3
Three consecutive picks in the middle of the draft is interesting but it's not necessarily good. Let me correct myself, three first rounders in any draft is a good thing (depending on what was given up to get them) but the fact that they're in a row doesn't really mean anything other than that Sweeney is kind of a weird guy. |

Yup statement reads. I am a giant douche nozzle that has just turned this franchise back 10 years to the glorious Harry Sinden days. |

So Bruins will have picks 13/14/15, has a team ever picked consecutively three times so early in the draft? - steve362
Habs picked 1, 2, & 3 back in 68 I believe. Though it was a 12 team league then. |

Bergeron isn't going anywhere... and unfortunately Chara probably isn't either. I would give Chara away for anything right now. |

What's the matter with you Bruins fans? Saying Sweeney needs to be fired. By who? You? Sweeney doesn't make those moves without Neely and Jacobs approval. Sure, gm's run the team day to day, but they don't make any moves without ok from the top.
As for who won the Kessel trade? Bruins still win it. Seguin was part of the team that won the Cup in '11. What Cups has Kessel helped the Leafs win? |

If they were gonna really blow it up, get rid of a lot more and start over, I guess this might be a draft to start with... but I don;t see how you do all this and keep Chara and a few other vets...
It is almost like being half-preggers here... - Mashadar
Its just like...these moves are like WTF? They make no sense at all. They shouldve rid themselves of Kreci, Chara, Marchand and maybe maybe Lucic. But this is totally insanity. Hamilton is a stud. Top it off they resign McQuaid???? OmG, What the?

So much for Boston winning that trade. More like a wash now - FLflames34
It's not a wash lucic and Hamilton where not going to be resigned . Your only have to pay lucic 2.3 for one year . Next years a waste but realistically you weren't winning the cup next year anyways . So getting 4 picks and a prospect in a great draft is really good . |

I wonder if Boston is trying to package Rask, bergeron/krejci and 13-15 picks for #1 overall... Now that would blow people away.
Then Edmonton uses picks from 13-16 to trade for some defence.

So a GM should never be accountable for a bad trade? That's the logic you're using.
And if I remember correctly, Seguin didn't make a huge contribution in that Cup run (didn't he sit a few games?) He really broke out the year after. So was he the difference? Would they have still won that Cup if Kessel was on the team? I'd say absolutely. There's another huge hole in your logic. |

[quote=HB77]the fact that youre actually convinced of the nonsense you write is proof enough of your blind irrationality.
Tell me that I lied in saying Lucic issued death threats , and that he didn't spear opponents from behind and that he did not get one punched by someone his size ... C'mon talking about blind mentality , how about GOOINZ MENTALITY which is what you're all afflicted with just like your pathetic organisation ...

Treliving said he wasn't sure right away he could land Hamilton without giving up a player from Calgary's roster.
That's crazy right there... so he's basically saying he would have given up a player from their roster, and it sounds as if the Bruins just pulled the trigger without really pushing them to get that player. |

If i read you right, you just said to trade a 1st line center, 1st line power forward, 2nd line goal scorer and top pairing to keep Hamilton?
Exactly how high are you right now? |
