Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

OMG!!!

2 bad trades and 3 bad picks in 1 day

- mr.sir

So Boston sucks for FIVE year, which is highly likely, and half the NHL losses money due to the high salaries paid to average players.

Then we have another lock-out..........

This doesn't excuse the Bs, they screwed up big.

But, having ONE of your biggest hockey markets suck for HALF A DECADE is not good for the game.

Seriously, I hope that MTL and Toronto are solid teams every year..........makes for good hockey.

The end result of a TOP MARKET sucking is not good for hockey my Canadian friend.....

Why would he say this? It's typical Julien to think that young players are replaceable.

Does he know that this is not the Soviet Union or Cuba and that you pay players what they are worth...........not what they "paid into the system" for there service?

The Bruins.......we are so progressive we suck, to prove a point...........I think?

There must be something about Hamilton we don't know. Hell it would have made more sense to trade Chara away.

Biggest market has sucked for a long long time, hasn't hurt hockey that much....suck it up and you probably won't be as bad as you think. GO LEAFS GO

I don't think he's worth $44m - obviously he wouldn't take a bridge contract and help out the team.

MONEY...... That's the BRUINS WAY!

Hamilton is going to sign a $6.5 million for 8 year deal with you guys........I promise you that, maybe, just maybe, it goes to $7 million for 8 years.

Next year.....maybe the year after he will be a TOP FIVE in Norris Trophy voting.

So we got someone that may be a NHL player........maybe.......for an elite D-man.

You guys are in very good shape I promise you. It's not one of those too good to be true things in this case.

It's MONEY.....Jacobs hates spending money. And if they can ICE a crappy team and people still watch they will get away with it in Boston.

You guys have a much better chance at the Cup in the next THREE years after these trades..............

WATCH THE VEGAS ODDS!!!!!

Boston is going to shoot down the rankings.........but there job is to make money and be right so ignore them.....right?

You guys are an exception with the rule.
In Boston we win Championships............if they ice a team like the Sox right now no one will be able to give tickets away.

You Leaf fans are like crack heads!

Your team would be the worst in hockey and you would still gobble up those tickets...........

Kinda simple if you think about it! Since the turn of the millennium:

1 Cup,
4 Super bowels,
3 World Series,
1 NBA Championship (who cares.....although at the time I loved it.)

We have had a good run.

If the Bs management think they can suck and Boston will still show up I think they are fools.

The Sox are already having empty seats at the games and we are not halfway through........

Bs will hurt in TWO years and make changes............I hate that it has to came to that for my boy Bergy though...........

I love Bergy, but if you plan to NOT BE CONTENDERS for 3-5 years trade your guys to contenders for a chance!

Are you f'n kidding me? I like the Lucic deal, but the Hamilton deal is our version of what the Kessel deal was for Toronto. We got hosed!!!!

Ready to call the 2016-2022 seasons right now. Sweeney is a JOKE!

- rynoisgod

Toronto got Kessel out of the Kessel deal, Boston got Zach Senyshyn(?) out of the Hamilton deal. Are you equating Senyshyn to Kessel?????

That's the rumor on the street here too.

So, if that is the truth, then WTF is Sweeney doing to change that mindset?

To me he is worth $7mil per for 8 years.......if he turns out to be a top pairing d man and we do not get that with the three picks we have made then we lose...........and we lose big!

Yeah, really. If you're a sports fan (not just a hockey fan) Boston has been a really good place to live for that last decade. So try not to complain too much about today, Bruins fans. Your city has had more than it's fair share of fortune.

Some brutal let downs though
03 sox choke
07 pats 18-1
10 Bruins choke 3-0 lead
11 pats lose Super Bowl
11 Sox choke crazy lead in september
13 Bruins 17 seconds

That's not an excuse though..........

That's what the Bs Management want.....turn the cheek and pretend nothing is wrong

1-We lost a TOP PAIRING D-man,
2-we lost our top LWer.........first line Left winger!
3-we gained ZERO players for next season.

How can we think a "reasonable" team will be iced next season?!?!

You are right, but wrong too.

Does anyone think the Bs made good trades today...........?

I think they were wrong with Hamilton ands hat trade was HORRIBLE!

Lucic was overrated.........

We will not be cup contenders for THREE years!

FYI.
The one thing I hear from Habs fans is how much they love Bergy and truly appreciate his talent and skill.

He gets "love" recently, but imagine if advance stats didn't exist............he would be considered the MOST OVERRATED player in hockey!

I love the Corsi revolution because of the simple fact that it makes the "casual" fans look TWICE at players they other wise would not think are that relevant.

Bergy shuts down Crosby, Tavares, Stamkoes, OVI (not on the PP, he is a piggy on that one timer), etc. he shuts down the "best players in the NHL" and scores on them.

But, still he is a second thought............in Canada you guys get it. One reason I can never hate you guys up north!

- JIwasinskiJr

Corsi etc is ok, but I think most fans just plain watch the games and see how good he is. Don't really need much more evidence than that, he's a game changer.

We'll gladly take him off your hands ... great player.

I don't blame Bruins fans for being livid about the Hamilton trade, I would be too. I'm still scratching my head on this one.

Sweeney needed to get rid of salary cap. Hamilton is seeking 6-7 million per year. I think Hamilton is a good player and will be a great player in the near future; I do not think he is worth that kind of money. Fridays draft for Sweeney was getting pieces to a puzzle (Goalie Jones), two second round picks, trading Lucic. Today will be a BIG day. Sweeney will get a number 4 defender (maybe not today) and a tier 1 winger soon. Jones or Subban will be a big attraction to most team including Edmonton. Send Smith, Subban and a 2 second round draft picks to Edmonton for Hall.

I like today's trades because Sweeney is putting his stamp on the team. There will be at least one or two more major trades that Sweeney will make. Lets not jump off the band wagon just yet.... You fair weather fan.

What part of this factors into him taking late 1st/2nd round talent in the middle of the 1st?
