Not even Luke!! - 3flyerkids
I still think Luke can get us a 3rd rounder. He's still relatively young and shoots right, they are both a plus.

They just dealt one guy who wanted too much money and picked up a LHD in Zadorov, so trading for MDZ seems unlikely. - Feanor
Lame. 31 and 40 tho. If Hextall could figure out something for those picks that would be an amazing way to start the round. |

I would think a 3rd would be reasonable. His age is key.
There are a lot of Western teams ( Arizona, Edmonton, and even the Ducks) that could use D help |

Thanks Bill.
Very excited about Provorov. In-between on Konecny. Time will tell. Are we going to see some trades today to get the Flyers some 2nd round picks? |

Is that more of a dump or would you call a 3rd for L Schenn a good deal? |

Well, IMO, he's at best a #5 dman, so yeah, it's a fair deal.

I would also be a happy camper if the Schenns could be turned into Oshie. Very much doubt that happens though. |

WTF is Buffalo doing? Why would you trade for a malcontent who apparently wants $7 million per even though it doesn't look like he's even close to that valuable? I'd have kept Zadorov as opposed to selling low (and early) on him. Kane and O'Reilly in the same locker room? I guess it could work... |

Didn't Oshie play for Hakstol? Maybe the new coach has a liking for TJ and ask's his GM to look into any possible deals |

Seems reasonable. I'd love to get some 2nd round picks. It sucks that L Schenn has fallen that far. |

How many teams would find his cap-hit attractive, tho? I don't think anybody out there is still expecting him to be anything more than a limited 3rd-pair guy. And there's no shortage of RH 3rd-pairing guys who make a fraction of what he's pulling. |

I am still laughing Wolf. It will be interesting to see how long Kane and O'Reilly last in Buffalo. However, maybe a change of scenery is what each of the players needed. If Kane can focus on hockey, and get back into game shape, he could be good for the Sabers. If O'Reilly can tolerate a developing team, then he might be a solid player for them. We might even see a fight between the two of them during the preseason...lol.
I am still waiting to see how the MDZ situation plays out. If they move some players does Hexy give into MDZ's demands? To be continued..... |

Great start to the draft for Hexy, two great prospects! Now if he can just ship Vinny off to Arizona for some cap relief I'll be pretty happy. |

Don't mean to be picking on you about this in particular, but why is it that the 'Yotes are always put out there as the answer to every cap problem that the Flyers have?
(and they have plenty of dmen of their own, they don't need Luke) |

Yeah, they aren't taking Vinny. No one wants him.
Maybe the Pronger contract for a late pick. That's it. |

The discussion of trading Prongers rights is also an interesting possibility, though some have said it could happen others say nay.
Paying $550,000 to eat up 4.9 mil in cap space for the floor reaching teams....

So Konecny is expected to be a RW at the NHL level? Talk about a logjam on the right side. Jake and Simmonds aren't going anywhere any time soon. Read seems to perform better at RW and A-K is in the system. Someone is going to have to make the move to LW in the next two years if they're not making a move to a different team. |
