Apparently the buyout only costs 633 k vs the cap. Hexy will target a LW. I'm going to wait until all of his moves are done. I'd be ok with keeping gagner but might be a better players on the horiZon.

However buying out Gagner wouldnt make me very happy. Give him a chance for 1 year Hexy, he could do things with Schenn and Simmonds

Since Gagner is only 26, his buyout is 1/3 cap hit over two years. Therefore, his hit would be $633k for each of the next two seasons.

Vinnys would be much higher because of the back diving aspect. Umberger would be about $1.5 over the next four years.

You clearly dont understand how the cap works, thats ok but dont be dissing a move where we got rid of our worst dman and a guy who was 5M of dead space in the offseason. And acquired a 3rd or 4th round pick
