Not at all a Sam Gagner fan but Hextall just blew my mind by moving Pronger's deal and one of our defenseman to get the second line center we needed all last season. Objectively, this is a fantastic deal. It also doesn't hurt that Gagner is young, with only one year left.

If Hextall trades the Schenns for Oshie I'm going streaking.

Reports are the Flyers are going to buy Gagner out and he will not be on the team.

Sorry if I'm late and this has been discussed. But I feel like if the Flyers don't want to keep Gagner, that there should be a trade market for him. 1 year and a 3.2 mil cap hit isn't bad for a 25 year old who routinely puts up point totals in the 40s. I know he isnt' a great 2 way player, but I'd think he could be traded for a pick instead of having to be bought out. Thoughts?

It's the right move for the Flyers to make, but there should be respect for the player, for the way he played.
