I must say, I am impressed with Hextall since the start of his tenure. Rinaldo extension aside and the questionable Umberger/Hartnell deal.

I have less than zero interest in Kessel. But I'd understand Toronto aiming high, but I value Voracek slightly higher than I value Kessel, so an offer including Jake with Sanheim and a 1st would be so insulting to me as a GM that I'd counter with Rinaldo and Vinny for JVR and Gardiner.

I wouldn't deal jake to get kessel.
But, if you have kessel at 8M, i don't see them resigning Jake.

So Flyers only had ~ 1.8M of cap space before this deal

They now have ~ 6.6M

Kessel's cap hit is 8M, and you can only spend 10% over the cap in the offseason, so 7.14M

Flyers now have room for Kessel...

Look stating that I have no intention of Kessel coming to the Flyers. I feel it is important to point out that Toronto would and should retain some of Kessel salary in any trade to get the value they would want....

Only blemish on Hexy was RJ for Hartnell, and thats a damn big blemish... but he's starting to make up for it... however u wanna slice it that was a bad deal for us. But he's making up for it. Get rid of 1 of Vinny/MacDonald. That'd make up for that deal

Bigger, younger played in the NAHL last year is going to play for Hakstol's former team in North Dakota so im sure that connection had something to do with it.

When I was talking to morins parents at the mem cup they said that they were a bit worried about the glut of d, I said my read is that they're going to clear that shortly IMO Still think Sam needs a year at Least in the a. His parents were so cautiously optimistic. I was like. This cat is gone be up in the nhl not too long from now. Chill guys. Haha
