Edit: Yeah, pinching in too often, that was the issue, he did play much better in the D zone as well.

I'm not overlooking that at all. I'm aware of who played for the Flyers when Del Zotto was sitting out. No it wasn't about pinching in too often, it was about leading the rush and playing as an individual, leaving the team in a bad position for counter rushes, versus moving up in the flow of the game and as part of a 5 man unit, and filling in holes coming late, which is where a defenseman is most dangerous on the rush.

I don't necessarily read that as buyout speak. They might be trying to get rid of someone else to keep Ganger. Read possibly?
