D man and Hodgson is a hot topic - SABRES 89
Anyone specific or just chatter (i know you brought up yandle but haven't really heard much about his availability).

I'm not unhappy, I'm actually pretty excited. But I just feel that Murray is lacking some patience. - sbroads24
In order to get depth, you have to draft well in the coming years anyway.
It seems he's taking the same approach that Whaley took with EJ Manuel: surround him with as much talent as he can to help him along with his development. The biggest difference is that the Buffalo Sabres have the 2nd best center in the draft. The Bills had a guy that was the 2nd best quarterback on his own team in college. |

Yea i'm not sure the Rangers aren't even thinking about moving him but I was told the Sabres have some interest, you can say the same for other teams that have interest in Yandle as well. I can't see a spot for Hodgson but that reamins to be seen. |

Gringo's camp tried to tell Murray what was going to happen with there client, as most have seen from Murray since he has been here, you don't tell Murray how it will be or it's going to be. |

Lacking patience? The man nearly imploded because he couldn't move back into the first round last year. But he didn't panic and make a dumb move. The fear would be valid if he went out and signed a guy like Leino. He identified the guys that he wanted and got them. |

Translation: the Sabres have a player worth building around.
The Bills do not. |

This year....
Kane/O'Reilly/Ennis
Moulson/Eichel/Girgensons
Foligno/Larsson/Reinhart
McGinn/Legwand/Delauriers
Gionta - sbroads24
kinda hard for me to have him in a 3rd line wing spot...not saying he can't do it, just having trouble placing him there...would prefer to see him center that third line between Gionta and foligno moving Larsson to fourth line between deslauriers and whomever |

the day we drafted was the day we (frank)ed his whole career but I'm happy he's gone I was getting very tired of his act just let him be a good player somewhere else |

He is a complimentary player and a good one at that. I think you're going to see him put up numbers again playing on the second line (where he belongs).

Simply my opinion.
I firmly believe that Murray has overpaid in every deal he has made since becoming General Manager of the Buffalo Sabres.
No hate , no agenda just the way I feel about his GM duties.
Look at all of his deals.
There is over payment in every single one.
It's just my opinion however, nothing more.
He doesn't impress me in the least.
Ciao for now y'all. |

Patience is what killed Darcy! Just try and enjoy the direction and relax. - Irish 14
There is a middle ground between the two.
The Robin Lehner trade is awful IMO, and if O'Reilly signs a non ridiculous extension, then I actually don't mind that trade.
We are shaping out to be a very good team, I'm just not sure how good yet.
Is Pysyk really good enough to take on a top 4 role for a playoff team? Is Risto ready to be a #1? Can Lehner bounce back? Can Kane stay healthy? Lots of variables

And got them at all costs.
He acted as if Robin Lehner was a once in a lifetime opportunity. |

This is probably correct, except maybe the O'Reilly trade. I expected him to move for much more than that. The only piece that really "hurts" in this move is Zadorov. If Tim Murray can't draft or find another player to bring what Compher will bring, then he's got bigger problems. |
