Not sure what hand Sustr plays but he's an RFA from Tampa that I wouldn't mind trying to get.
Another RFA D-Man to look at is Rasmus Rissanen. I'm not sure if he's even any good but how sweet would a Rasmus Ristolainen and Rasmus Rissanen D-Pair be? - Bullet_Bills
Sustr- RD
Rissanen- LD
Rissanen seems like a career AhL d man to me. |

Does UFA signings start on July 1st or did they change that to the 5th? I thought it changed last year. Not sure if I'm right or not. - mhp
July 1st I believe.
They are already in the "interview stage" |

Didn't think Rissanen was anything special, just like his name. I'd still take a shot at Sustr, he's 6'8" and looked pretty comfortable in the Cup Finals. We could address LHD somewhere else, Gorges and Weber's spots could be replaced by better LH options eventually. |

Wow Boston has hit a new low I can't believe they would trash their own players all you had to say is thank you for your services but the way that they talk about the players Jesus show some class |

Lefties.
My list
1. Oduya
2. Sekera
3. Green (RD, but pp specialist)
4. Franson (RD, but quality mid pair)
5. Franky Bo
If we can get, or if someone's able to play LD currently on the Sabres, Green actually makes a lot of sense. You need to play him with some guys who are very defensively responsible and on the man advantage. He will get you plenty of points.
None of these guys are top pair worthy. As long as everyone goes into 7/1 knowing that. |

You've never been to Boston, have you.
The only Americans worse than Bostonians are Philadelphians. |

I like Oduya and Sekera, wouldn't mind Paul Martin or Ehrhoff( long shot). Also I've heard Bouwmeester's name pop up in trade rumors. He could be a good but more costly option.

Looking at the Lightning they have only $3.5M in cap space and need to sign some RFA's, like Sustr and Namestnikov. |

I was impressed by both throughout the playoffs, more so Sustr though. Nesterov is in the last year of his entry deal, shhots left and was their seventh d-man. Could be a trade option. |

2. Benning coveted that number 31 pick, originally belonging to Buffalo. He was hoping to get it for Eddie Lack. The Sabres used it to snare Ryan O’Reilly, but may have dangled it to see if that would get Frederik Andersen. Anaheim would need a lot more.

I wonder when they name the HC for Rochester. Or is free agency the first order of business they work on and then the Amerks coaching staff. |

My guess is he is working on the coaching staff now. He should already know who he wants for Free Agency |
