some other people on the internet have said as such and even used charts to which proves the point. so basically youre just a sheep that only listens to what the so called experts say. if they say grossman isn't very good, this again is because theyre just using tired conventional wisdom

This is sage wisdom here. OEL is so good that Arizona plans on only keeping 3 defenceman on the roster next year. O. E. L.

He's not out there blowing coverages. He's just really poor at puck retrieval and puck moving. Positionally he is very good. He has a real heavy stick and will pin the player who can't move an inch.......if he can get to him

Defense is overrated. Honestly, move the puck and you're playing good D. Lots of guys who "don't know how to play defense" do more to suppress shots than traditional defensive defenseman.

Said like a guy who truely knows nothing about hockey...... Please enlighten us how a Dman moves the puck without possession? The answer is the don't. The defenceman has to PLAY DEFENCE and make them turn the puck over. To do that they have to keep the Wingers to the outside, they need to clear the front of the net to avoid tip ins, they need to block shots to avoid shots on goal that the goalie may not save, they have to win the board battles down low and force the forwards to make a bad pass. None of this is over rated. All of this Grossman does well and he will play on the Roster. He does not skate well, he does not move the puck well or put up many points but he helps keep pucks out of his teams net!
