Man, what I'd do to be paid millions to watch flyers games
- Just5

Ah, and there is the key, what you would do. Because you dont have the kind of money he has.

The point is, he HAS the money, so anyone who thinks he would chose to sit in the press box over playing is delusional.

Now research how much of that he's given to charity & the cuts his agent has received
- ob18

i'll see your charity and agents then raise you endorsements.

I was hoping they could find a team needing to get to the floor. Then Eat some on the deal the last 2 years.

$1,760,000 per year for the next 12 years tells me he is terminating.

I never said it was enough money. I believe his desire to play will trump his desire to collect that money and NOT play. Especially when he is being paid by Tampa for the next 12 years.

who is going to hire him to play hockey? He just got bought out twice with the last one being one of the worst teams in the league last year

He can terminate and go to Europe if he still wants to play that badly.

There ain't a team in the league that will sign him to do anything other than sit in the press box.

.... he's not going to walk away (or at least I don't think) from what he's owed on this deal.
- ob18

I would be very surprised were he to do that.

The only way I could see it happen is if he already (somehow ) knew that he would be able to sign a deal immediately that would net him all, or nearly all, of what he'd be forfeiting in Philly.

Is there a team in the league with as much dead weight as the Flyers? Serious question

Frankly, that would be a ridiculous thought process on his part because there is no way he is getting that deal. It would be a defacto retirement for him. Do you think he is ready to retire?

Vinny still has $21,120,000 coming to him from Tampa. He can afford to take the chance and terminate in order to continue actually PLAYING somewhere.

I don't think he gets that if he terminates. I think he gets nothing in a mutual termination. He's already making like $3+mil a year from Tampa for doing nothing.
