Because for 7.8 million he can't score a playoff goal. He's getting older, 31, and his trade value is pretty high right now. Blowing it up would be trading him for picks. Trading him for players to replace him and his scoring is not blowing it up. - nyrangers9479

That guy is a stealth killing bird, Farrell can't be dead yet - HankdaTank
He has to be. He took two shotgun blasts at close range. I was shocked but I guess its gonna be one of those shows where they have no problem killing of the big names. I like it |

I assume he isn't. But that was crazy. Other than that, I understood nothing about that episode. - tomburton99
It has been tough to follow so far through the first 2 episodes. I thought tonight I was starting to get it a little but still not sure |

okay, who has the crack? who's selling the crack? where can I find some of this crack? & most importantly, do you have any crack? YEAH LETS TRADE NASH AND KEEP HAGELIN.. tell me, who is replacing his 40+ goals cause without his play we probably wouldn't of seeded where we were, or.. possibly struggled all season to just make the playoffs. Jimmy Hayes? HAHA.. & when Etem plays third line minutes & get's plugged here & there on the 2nd line, which one of you will be the first person chirping "I'm getting an Etem jersey"? Please guys, take a chill pill already, why would we want Oshie & Shwartz & who suggested we trade Etem before even the first preseason game YIKES. Oh boy, I understand the need to vent, yada yada but..

Why would you want Schwartz and Oshie??? Why wouldn't you. |

His 42 goals in the regular season still makes his trade value high to a team like the Panthers who struggle to score. However, some Rangers fans expect more from him in the playoffs at 7.8 taking up cap room. Again, Florida has cap room so it's not as big of a deal. |

oh yeah cause Oshie possesses anywhere near the size, skill & playoff success of nash (sorry but his toe drag dangles are great & all, specially the ones he's done at Sioux) & Schwartz is available? Keep dreaming, bud. All i'm saying is think of some realistic scenarios, like perhaps getting Sharp on the REAL low(probably less likely) , Brad Richards whos name has been brought up or Justin Williams for a year. Discuss Nash trade talk this time next year cause he isn't being shopped yet, UNLESS one of these unrealistic outcomes came to fruition. Goooooood Morning, one cup of coffee down & i'm feeling peppy |

Once again.. what you are not registering, who replaces his 42 goals & leads us to the promised land?. If you say Jimmy Hayes I'll laugh.. if you suggest Bjustaad or Huberdeau I may laugh till I cry. Sorry, but I love nhl15 too.. & yes, I keep my trading difficulty on easy aswell. |

I think Hagelin being traded made the chances of Nash being traded much less.
I was picturing Nash going for a guy who made about 4.5 million or so and using the savings to help get the RFA's signed.
I still think there is somewhat of a chance a trade with St Louis, I would absolutely trade Nash straight up for Jaden Schwartz in a second, but after this weekend I feel less of a chance Nash is going anywhere. |

We don't really need to replace all 42 goals. We cruised into a playoff berth as the 3rd highest scoring team in the league. If we can replace just half of those goals I'd bet we still end up one of the higher scoring teams in the league last year.
Nash ain't going anywhere though yo. Yandle better watch his booty tho. |

Have a question, what makes you think that Etem is better than Hayes?
By reading prior posts, you state that opinion? Just curious how you think that when Hayes 1st pro season had a good year for FLA & Etem has barely sniffed the NHL yet.
Or you just assuming and hoping? |

Etem is not better than Hayes nor is he better than Hagelin at this point, he's a project, good upside but yet to be seen |

Assuming/hoping. He's younger and has more potential. If he hits it he'll be better. It's more that I think Jimmy Hayes peaked last season. That wasn't his first pro year and he never really had any 20 goal scorer projections. I think he'll come back down to earth next season. |

Hayes had a lousy 1st half and figured it out in the 2nd half and became a threat for FLA, he's just a kid and to say he peaked is a bit immature bc theres really no body of work to compare yet. |

I would personally drive Nash to the airport, buy him a puppy, and pay for a limo to take him to the St. Louis arena if that trade went down. Schwartz is gonna be a star. The trade is really just a fan pipe dream |

am i the only one or would Mike Richards be a great pick up for us right now? after he is bought out maybe we can sign him for like $2M, he would be a perfect guy for the playoffs. he isnt a top 2 line player anymore, but he still does the little things well.
And can people stop coming up with Nash Trades? |

even if we did sign Mike Richards, no way it would be for 2 million.
I think the best he could hope for is the 700K we signed Malone for last summer. I think even better is just a training camp tryout to see if he has anything desire left |
