If Hodgson gets bought out I wonder if the Rangers would be interested. Only 25, had two years with a horrible Buffalo team and had 15 and 20g. Last year wasn't good, but the kid has some skill.

No buyout for Mike Richards. @lakings terminate contract for a material breach of the requirements of his Standard Player’s Contract. Wow - jimbro83
Richards is going to sue, no team will want to touch him until details are released.

You guys should sign him and then ship him to the Blues for Schwartz

Kinda nice to be on a team that isn't sitting here figuring out how to rid themselves of bad contracts with terminations, waivers, buyouts, minor burying, etc.....People don't give Sather and Clark enough credit for how they're managing the team.
I agree we should take a look at Hodgson. He could be a cheap 3rd line option for a year or two. Slide him to the wing in between Hayes and Etem. All of a sudden this team is much younger.

on the other hand, if there are teams willing to give up a 3rd rd pick for a borderline 4th line player, you have to think we could have gotten more for someone like Hagelin

I'm gonna stop judging the Hagelin deal until I see what we got in Etem. Unknown right now but who knows what an American born high ceiling kid like him can do on our team. He'll be playing with a lot of high profile US players that i believe played for Team USA with him. Stepan, Kreider, McDonagh, Yandle, Girardi, Hayes, Miller, all great US born players. May not amount to anything but it could help his development. Also, I don't know too much about Anaheim's development program but I have to believe that the Rangers are top notch in getting talented young players to reach their potential. That seems to be the trend in the past 10 years. I think we have acquired a lot of young players that never bloomed elsewhere and made them better.
So Rinaldo got a 3rd rounder, Hags is in Anaheim and Tanner Glass is still a NY Ranger, yeah he played better after the deadline but he still sucks and serves very little purpose
