I am very intrigued to see if some offer sheets are signed starting tomorrow.
If offer sheets don't happen this summer, they really aren't ever going to happen.

I think what some Rangers' fans are trying to say is that Sather got beat of the half wall on Friday of the draft and snapped his stick like a twig on Saturday. - Pete V
Then Sather and tavares have something in common. |

that's definitely surprising
he made 850K last season, they didn't want to qualify that?
kind of dumb really - jimbro83
Serious question... Do you bring him back at that price tag or Hundwick? Cause, poop, I might just bring him back. |

I think a lot of the Rangers problems can be solved by finding away to move Dan Boyle. I know he has a no trade clause, but the Rangers have found a way to get guys to waive before, for the right location of course. I like Boyle more than most, but his $4.5 million deal is cap inhibiting for this year, and he has been rendered somewhat superfluous by Yandle. Of course, trading Boyle creates a righty lefty in balance, but I think the Rangers can either give McIlrath a legitimate shot, or trying playing a guy on the opposite side.
Trading Boyle would both open up opportunities for McIlrath and Skjei, and allow the Rangers to pursue someone up front that can replace the production lost with Hagelin and St. Louis.
To me, I think the Rangers have to explore whether he would waive. |

Yeah, I'll take the GM that has drafted in the Top 5 in the vast majority of his tenure, and had never managed a team to a playoff round victory over the guy whose never drafted in the Top 5 after the first lockout, has made the playoffs every year but one, and has managed a team that has been one of the final four team standing three of the last four years. That makes sense. - Pete V
THANK YOU!!People saying we cant win with Sather are just blinded by how much they dislike the trades that just happened. This can be the complete opposite of the Montreal trade????? Really, do people really believe what they actually post. |

I feel like if they wanted to move Boyle and thought it was a possibility, they would have never traded Hags. Because say Hags even makes 4 mill, thats still a 500k saving by removing Boyle and lets us sign everyone else |

Yea the forward depth still needs some work. They have lost MSL, Hagelin, and most likely Shepperd and only replaced it with Etem so far. Lindberg could make the team but that is no guarantee at this point. I think some type of a forward move still has to be done.
I still don't think Boyle would waive to leave but who knows. Crazier things have happened. Like Boston trading Dougie Hamilton and moving a 3rd round pick for Rinaldo |

15 years of not winning a Cup, numerous free agent disasters but he gets a pass because of 1 trade, sorry but the 9th overall disaster is a book end to a mostly mediocre tenure |

So cocaine is the LA Kings drug of choice, Richards involved in a US-Canada "border issue" that the Kings were made aware of on draft day |

Agree to disagree. I think after the painful early 00 years, he did a great job at keeping this team in the upper echelon of the NHL. Winning it all aint easy, and yes Sather has traded some picks and kids to try and win it all, but I think hes done well and think we will continue to do well when he steps down and Gorton takes over |

One other one. Yotes didn't qualify Mark Arcobello. Could be interesting for the 4th line. |

Might be the only dude to play for 4 different teams and still score almost 20 goals in a season |

KPE scenario. We eat half the money and move him to Chicago? Do you do it or is it a lateral move as you will spend $2.25 M saved replacing him anyway? Or is the albeit small asset you'd get from Chicago worth a lateral move.
Also I've been pretty MIA so maybe it has been discussed, but what is Skej's cap hit should he insert himself in the top 6? |

I can't believe the level of misery in Rangerland.
Stanley Cup Finals, followed by a President's trophy of which 90% of the team will be back next year and you would think we have time warped back to 2002.

I think Nash and Glass are the only 2 forwards on the team over the age of 30 lol. And they are both 31
Edit: Forgot about Moore |

I think Skjei's cap hit would be 575k. |

Why would the Kings waive Mike Richards, only to "terminate" him now, 2 days later? Has any more info been released? |
