I think I'd a preferred the 1st and 3rd for Hagelin assuming he'd get 3.5-4...but I still like Easy E |

Jackets, Isles, Pens, Caps and Rangers. Tough, tough division. It's going to be hard for anyone else to break into that group of teams in the Division, and a good teams are going to be missing the playoffs in the East. - Pete V
and in the other division, I think Florida and Buffalo gonna be vastly improved |

And the Flyers set themselves up nicely for the future in getting Proporov and Koencey. |

imagine only getting a 2nd for JT Miller or a 3rd for Jesper Fast. - tomburton99
They would pay Jesper Fast any offer sheet that would only bring back a third. The next tier up is the problematic one.

That $1.6 to $3.3 million tier is the b*tch. That's where the real exposure lies, IMO, if someone wants to pay JT Miller $3 million per, the return would only be a 2nd round pick and the Rangers couldn't match. - Pete V
yep, I definitely think Miller is most vulnerable |

Buffalo is getting 2 top 9 centers for almost nothing is going to help. |

I think Florida will be playoff bubble team improved, whereas I think Buffalo is still a little bit away from making the playoffs (but certainly vastly improved).

Sit tight boys... I think it is a bumpy ride here till FA opening up... I think we may see Miller or Fast traded for all the reasons listed.
For those that wanted offer sheets to be real, well, they are real now and these trades show that. |

and Evander Kane too. - jimbro83
Ennis isn't bad either. I'm assuming they have some cash to throw at some free agents tomorrow too. |

So from a conference perspective. We see so far, BUF and CBJ getting stronger, while the Bs get significantly weaker.
Waiting for the shoe to fall in Pitt. Something big is going to happen and I think there is more than smoke with this Kessel thing. |

How in the hell can they afford him? |

2015-16 Sabres:
Kane - ROR - Reinhart
Moulson - Eichel - Ennis
McGinn - Girgensons - Gionta
Foligno - Legwand - McCormick
Bogosian - Gorges
Ristolainen - Meszaros
Weber - McCabe
Lehner
Johnson
This is before any free agent signing they may make with their 15M in cap space. |

Not icing a bottom 6 as they did last year?
Apparently moving Kunitz in the trade is what I heard. |

You know one other misunderstood concept? Glen Sather is the President and GM of Hockey operations. Anyone who you credit with moves beneath him was HIRED by him. His job goes beyond just making a single pick, and I'm sure any decisions get the final okay by him. You wanna replace him? You are also replacing the guy that make personel decisions, the guy that overseas and manages the decisions made by this club. Who is to know if Gorton takes over, the entire system functions as smoothly? Everyone is good at their particular job, and its because Sather put this system together. Some of you don't give him enough of the ultimate credit that this club's direction is traveling in. |

Saw a tweet that Toronto turned down an offer that included Pouliot + Kunitz + Scuderi + 1st for Kessel at the draft. |

Bieksa to the Ducks for a second rounder. If Vancouver could deal him and his $4.6 mil salary, Sather has to be able to find a taker for Klein or Boyle. (Yes, I know Boyle has an NTC) |

Just for shyts and giggles....could the Rangers offer sheet Hagelin if they wanted to or is there a time period after you trade someone to get them back? |

I think we could. Not that it would make any sense. $3.3M ducks match, more and we traded a 1 and 3 for Etem... |

Why do we need or want to trade Klein now? I was for a deal that included him for someone like Yakutia but that's not happening. It's not like we're saving a ton of money trading Klein. His contract is very good |
