With the Blues rumored to be shopping Oshie and Rangers supposedly shopping Nash, what would it take for a NYR/Blues deal including those 2 pieces?
Shwartz and Oshie for Nash? - nyrangers9479
Great idea that needs to be executed. With everyone talking about a big move for the rangers to make this is one that needs to happen and will give the Rangers a good amount of cap space. Rumor is Buffalo might want to try for Oshie as well, i feel Nash for Oshie is brilliant! |

Dan Boyle could use some love - rangerdanger94
Dan Boyle is getting to the point he needs to hang his skates up. At first i loved him, then he gets older slower weaker... he is about done and the fact he wants to stay i find that bad because we could have probably used him to get someone else that is a little younger and has a few more years left |

It would fill out the team and save money but Nash will not go straight up |

Shwartz and Oshie for Nash and Etem would be a fair deal |

What do the blues need that we can add to get the package of Schwartz and Oshie? Where are they weak? Nash and Klein? Nash and Buchnevich?(don't like losing Duclair and Buchnevich but we're getting a 22 year old back) Nash and McIlrath? Nash and Skeji for Oshie Schwartz+?

At the age of 22 Schwartz is coming off of a 28 goal and 65 point season. I give it a 0% chance they move him. |

To aquire a guy like Nash who could give them another 40+ goal season it is possible. Only concern for the Blues would be Nash in the playoffs |

Hamilton and Seguin were 22 and under also different circumstances however, but no one is untouchable in this league and they have Tarasenko as well. Adding a 35+ goal scorer would give them 2 legit threats on possibly 2 different lines. |

I am not trying to give you guys a hard time but Taransenko and Schwartz are future young stars that are going to carry that franchise. Unless we are throwing McDonagh the other way I just don't see a trade. I would love one but its just not reasonable. If Schwartz was available I think a bunch of other teams would be interested and be willing to offer much better packages. While Nash is good, his playoff numbers aren't , he is 31 now and still has a high cap hit. It just isn't realistic to acquire a talent like Schwartz. |

My problem is if you want to give Nash and McDonagh, you better be throwing more than Oshie and Shwartz. That is nowhere close to the value of both Nash and McDonagh. Even though Nash's playoff numbers are low that doesnt mean he cant help a team to the playoffs. He is useful on any team and if you throw Etem at them with Nash then you are still giving them a young guy who can produce. We dont need to give up one of our top 2 defenders. The worst thing the Rangers could do right now is split up our defense. The thought of that makes me sick... we have one of the top 5 defenses in the NHL so dont throw that away. Thats a huge reason, along with Talbot we made the playoffs. |

Id prefer the Oshie Fabbri, Fabbri's contract is low and for a couple more seasons. Rattie is definitely low but for 1 season, i feel he Fabbri and Oshie would be the best fit |

There is a possibility that may be a concern for a team thats been having issues in the playoffs. Maybe. |

Even through all this talk about the Blues with Nash i feel that the Rangers could pull a deal somewhere with Detroit for Nyqvist. That would be a big pickup for the Rangers. |

Fabbri is real skilled. Shame his WJC ended due to a broken leg. |

Nash and Buchnevich for Oshie and Schwartz. That's an old school hockey trade. None of this add a 3rd nonsense. Hockey trade right there. |

I'd lose my poop if they traded Buchnevich. Watching him in 2 WJC, he has serious skill. Plus he'll be more seasoned after next because he's playing against men in the KHL. |

That team despertaly needs Nyqvist's youth. Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Franzen, Wiess and Miller are all on the wrong side of 30. They also only have 5 d-men signed for next year. Don't think Nash makes much sense for them. |

Funny thing about Nyquist is he was always more a playmaker than a goal scorer before his rookie year in the show. |

Agreed. To me, Minnesota Florida St. Louis make the most sense. Florida desperately needs scoring.
From Minnesota- Dumba Niederriter 1st
From Florida- Hayes Bjugstad 2nd
From St. Louis- Oshie and Schwartz (add Buchnevich) |
