I still find Dallas an interesting option for Nash. They only have 3 signed NHL RW's. They also need to spend 3.6 million to get to the cap floor. Granted Niemi will need to be signed so I expect them to be near the floor after that deal. But it's an interesting team. They have a deep pool of prospects and cap space. |

Nichushkin would be awesome |

Agreed. To me, Minnesota Florida St. Louis make the most sense. Florida desperately needs scoring.
From Minnesota- Dumba Niederriter 1st
From Florida- Hayes Bjugstad 2nd
From St. Louis- Oshie and Schwartz (add Buchnevich) - nyrangers9479
Im really liking that Florida deal! Having the Hayes brother together would be awesome! im a huge Hayes brothers fan so bring both to the Rangers, they could be a powerhouse together on the same line |

Why on earth would the Rangers trade Nash at this point? It makes no sense, unless they are blowing it up, which they are absolutely not doing? |

Don't think we'd get him. But maybe the Russian kid they just drafted with a pick and maybe one of Roussel or Garbutt. |

Because for 7.8 million he can't score a playoff goal. He's getting older, 31, and his trade value is pretty high right now. Blowing it up would be trading him for picks. Trading him for players to replace him and his scoring is not blowing it up. |

Getting rid of his salary cap and making room for a bunch of other players is why he should be going. I like Nash but he is nearing his end and his value is still high so why not get him out there while we can? |

They probably won't but they need to get better, adding 2 for 1 while opening up cap space is something I'd rather do than saying Hags for Etem makes the difference, Nash won't be reliable next playoffs either |

Talbot would not have been happy there. 1 year left on his contract and he wouldnt be the starter. Thats why he isnt there. |

The Rangers also had no interest in acquiring Jimmy Hayes and having to pay him as a RFA this summer. If he is the center piece in a Nash trade then the Rangers are in serious trouble of making the playoffs next year. |

We nixed the dzeal not Tallon, he thought it was a done deal, Sather really had a bad day IMO, really pissed we lost Hags then said no to Hayes, I'd rather both of them than Eats |

If Nash is dealt it's St. Louis that has the most useful return and they just seem like a perfect trade partner |

Bjugstad would be the centerpiece IMO from Florida. Hayes just a part of the deal. |

I like him but don't think he's going to come here and score 30. If he played on the 3rd line and gave us 18-22 I would be happy. |

i really hate seeing Talbot go though. i realize it had to be done but it still upsets me. I dont mind Lundqvist but honestly his contract was a little too much for me when we resigned him. I really thought Talbot could have been the guy the Rangers would be able to keep going with after Hank but now i think he is good with being a starter. I know Talbot is old news now for the Rangers but that one still hurts even though it was expected. Hags makes me mad. definitely a bad decision. Trade Nash and we would have had the cap space for Hags and some left over |

I wish I had your guys optimism over a Nash trade. At the time the Rangers got him they really didn't give up much at all as we were all happy as hell with the trade, that was 3 years ago and a bunch of underwhelming playoff appearances later. I really don't think he has the trade value a lot of people think.
Why the smartest thing might be to keep him. His goal scoring will still help the Rangers during the regular season. Just got to hope he gets luckier in the playoffs.
If a perfect deal game around then yea the Rangers would be dumb not to take it, but I don't think its out there. I guess time will tell |

The fact they traded Hagelin tells me Nash isn't going anywhere now. They have the space they need. If you gave me the choice of trading Nash or Hagelin I'd much rather have traded Nash, just for my own sanity come April and the return he would bring back |

I assume he isn't. But that was crazy. Other than that, I understood nothing about that episode. |
