Im sure his price went up as soon as they cleared cap space.

I would still pass on oshie. Larsson was making plays and being hard to play against, playing first line mins late in the season. Sounds like oshie to me.

A pure goal scorer would be a nice addition.

I have no problem with Larsson. Hope we keep him.

I know he's been getting a lot of hype lately, but in a perfect world, I'd love to get Tarasenko. He's a solid young player, and even though he may be expensive, he is still young and just entering his prime.

What defense prospects of some sort of value are left in the pipeline? I can only think of Ruhwedel.
- rcostel77

Not much, i would think you try and make a forward based offer, throw in the d prospect to bulk the offer up and get a 4th round pick back maybe?

Im no GM

Can't give up McCabe now that Zadorov has been moved. The D pipeline is pretty thin at the moment in terms of guys that will be ready in the next year or 2.

I agree completely. If he came for free I would be ok with it. He doesn't and my wallet is much smaller. I really like Eichel, I'm good.

Id say after this past weekend, it would take some sort of relative production going back to get nash out of new york.

I would not part with ennis.

I really like Ennis, I saw some glimpes of "Briere-esque" to him and this past year was a real sand paper type of year for a guy having to make scoring plays almost single-handly, I see him scoring 65pts +next year.....Go ahead and copy this post and call me out in 12 months, I think Ennis will score more pts next year than Rick "Freakin" Nash.......

I think at this point Fasching becomes the prospect most likely to be moved in a trade.

It is really too bad murray couldnt get in on hamilton at that price. He had to have called right?

What an incredible thought haha

Up to 8

I run two dynasty leagues for hockey, one is in its 5th year, the other is a friends and family going into its first offseason. I tried last year to put one together with HockeyBuzzers, but didn't get enough interest.

If anyone is interested in doing one, please PM me, looking for 10, maybe 12 teams.

That whole thing was kind of bizarre. It seems that several teams thought they had a better offer than what they got from Calgary. I would have given them any combination of prospects that they wanted.

No way Boston was trading him to a divisional rival

When we started this rebuild we were unbelievably thin on offence and raving about our defence.

It's taken just 2 years to flip that...

Solid except no way gorges is a 1-2 dman at this point in his career. And he's coming of microfracture knee surgery. Our def depth is scarily thin though and we may need to sign two of them. I don't think Sekera ever signs back here though

Watch Murray trade him to fill the hole he's made in the defense... Ugh!

In general, this is why you draft mostly using the best player available method. It's actually how they ended up with Pysyk. Didn't want to draft a defenseman but couldn't believe he was still there.

So what if he did? We are now top-heavy in forward-wing prospects. They can't all make the big club. At this point Baptiste and Bailey are better prospects.

My point was the irony of trading McNabb for him.

Since we are doing line combos:

Kane ROR Ennis
Speed power scoring puck possession
Moulson Eichel Girgensons
Scorer playmaker sniper worker
McGinn Reinhart Gionta
Grit playmaker all around vet
Foligno Legwand Larsson
One tough 4th line

My ideal would be to trade Foligno prospect 2nd for Oshie
Kane ROR Ennis
Moulson Eichel Oshie
Girgensons Reinhart Gionta
McGinn Legwand Larsson
