Not when. The draft is in buffalo - gerbe75pts
Do you really think because the draft is in Buffalo next year that would keep GMTM from moving our first next year if it made sense??
That's not how it works JR...
You're not ready...
Besides Legwand gets flipped for a 2nd and he moves back into the first! |

50-50 that Legwand is on the team opening a day. 0% chance he gets a 2nd if he does make it.

That trade changed the precedent for no longer getting ridiculous returns in deadline trades. We completely lucked out there.

I think this is where this is where getting ROR is so important. I remember the night that the Bruins hit rock bottom as a franchise (I think it was '06). We hung something like 8 or 9 goals on them. It wasn't the first or second line that was doing it to them, it was the third line of young Roy and Vanek that was decimating them. Drury and Briere handled the big boy duties and the kids got to grow. ROR will allow our 2nd liners to be 2nd liners (Moulson) and guys like Reinhart to play against lesser players. I'm curious to see how Gus grows now that he isn't on the top line. - Slump Buster
Yep, I have said for years, the entire team is playing one or two lines higher than their talent level....so the moves by GMTM enables the payers to be on the lines they should be. |

Not sure what his point is, but I definitely rather have Nash on this team than Ennis.
With the adds we have done, if they could trade Ennis, Foligno, a 2nd and a prospect for Nash. I am all in.
Buyout Hodgson
Sign Green
Kane O'Reilly Nash
Mouslon Eichel Reinhart
McGinn Larsson Gionta
Deslauriers Legwand McCormick
Ristolainen Pysyk
Green Bogosian

I don't get why so many people want Oshie. He isn't anything special.
I love the team up front as is. Not worth tearing it apart for Nash. All we need is to sign a top 4 D guy and add depth to the D. Watch this team be a biotch to play against and sneak into the playoffs. |

Did you see the world's? Ennis is just starting to peak and we'd have him a this peak for years. Nash - while elite - has already peaked and doesn't fit the long-range plan. |

Bingo, plus Nash would probably never waive his NMC for Buffalo. If's fun but I wouldn't waste time on Nash proposals, it's not happening. |

Anyone willing to trade Ennis must not have a good eye for talent. Ennis is going to be the Briere of this team. The way he played with no talent around him was incredible. He showed how good he can be during the worlds. Kids going into his prime on a great contract. No way i move him unless its for some guy in his mid 20's thats an elite sniper. |

Total Pt Difference over first 5 seasons............................45pts to the Nash Master
(My teams were a little bit better than your Historically bad/like

Ive seen Ennis play the last six years. I will take Nash over ennis, and so would anyone that isnt a sabre fan.
Our lineup will be going into the season, with Kane, who has only scored 30 goals once, and Mouslon who has only done it with Tavares as his center, the last time being 4 years ago. If an opportunity presents itself to land a 40 goal scorer, you better do it. |

A fan can still be objective. Nobody is doubting that right now Nash is better than Ennis. Given age, contract, current status of the team and playoff performance.... I'll take Ennis. |

I think there's a much greater than 50% chance legwand is on the team. Closer to 75%. I think, depending on the year he has, he probably wouldn't get a 2nd, probably more like a third |

Fans can be, but they are often not. Given contract status I want Nash, he is only on the books for 3 more years. So when comes time to resign Reinhart and Eichel, 7.8 drops off the books. While Ennis is still on for one more year. |

not at all a sabres homer when it comes to players. being short sighted is never a good thing when building a team. By the time we are a legit contender to go deep into the playoffs Nash will be on a big decline seeing he is already 31. No thanks. Plus when we have to resign him we will be dealing with kane, eichel, reinhart, risto. Again ill pass. |

I don't necessarily disagree. However, we aren't cup contenders in that time. |

Good God........I wouldn't trade Ennis straight up for Nash, let alone give up Foligno and a 2nd
I'm not suggesting that Rich Nash isn't or wasn't a nice strong point producing player.
I would MUCH rather have Ennis at 28 yrs Old PrimeTime than Rich Nash at 33yrs old when we really make a run in two years, shoot maybe we pick him up at Trade Deadline day after we've won the Presidents Trophy and we throw NY a 2nd rounder and say F*&ck You NY we're the Buffalo Sabres and we're going for the CUP!!!
