[quote=Mentalorgasm5]Not sure what his point is, but I definitely rather have Nash on this team than Ennis.

With the adds we have done, if they could trade Ennis, Foligno, a 2nd and a prospect for Nash. I am all in.

Good God........I wouldn't trade Ennis straight up for Nash, let alone give up Foligno and a 2nd

I'm not suggesting that Rich Nash isn't or wasn't a nice strong point producing player.

I would MUCH rather have Ennis at 28 yrs Old PrimeTime than Rich Nash at 33yrs old when we really make a run in two years, shoot maybe we pick him up at Trade Deadline day after we've won the Presidents Trophy and we throw NY a 2nd rounder and say F*&ck You NY we're the Buffalo Sabres and we're going for the CUP!!!

A fan can still be objective. Nobody is doubting that right now Nash is better than Ennis. Given age, contract, current status of the team and playoff performance.... I'll take Ennis.

You would wouldnt trade Ennis for Nash, you sound like a Bostonian homer with nonsense like that.

Fans can be, but they are often not. Given contract status I want Nash, he is only on the books for 3 more years. So when comes time to resign Reinhart and Eichel, 7.8 drops off the books. While Ennis is still on for one more year.
- Mentalorgasm5

Psssst.........Nash's contract is alomst DOUBLE Ennis , will Nash Double Ennis scoring over the next 4 years?

No, plesae watch more hockey.....

Don't even get me going on "Intangibles" cause Ennis has them in spades, Murray loves this guys tenacity and willingness to go in the greasy areas.

We don't have to be uncivil and call each other names, I'm really not interested in that. If I felt that Nash was worth trading Tyler Ennis I would do it, I am a fan of the Sabres but I've clearly watched more hockey.

Because doubling points is what you base contracts over?

If that was the case ROR wouldn't be looking at $7 million plus...

Tyler Ennis is a nice player. Rick Nash is an all star...

That's a fair point but when you add it all together Ennis is a much better value for the money (I think that was the point). Also, you can't ignore the playoff failings of a 31 year old man. He is what he is at that age.

That isn't the question. The question is does Nash make sense for us right now if Ennis part of the return.

Rich Nash is 31 and declining 7.8 3 years (Hi I can't remember the All-Star game and I'm 34 yrs old)

Tyler Ennis is 26 and rising 4.6 4 years (Hi I just spent the past two years at the All-Star Game I'm 29 yrs old)

We can have different opinions. I truly believe we are better with Ennis going forward at 4yrs 4.6 Than Rick Nash at 7.8

Do you really think because the draft is in Buffalo next year that would keep GMTM from moving our first next year if it made sense??

That's not how it works JR...

You're not ready...

Besides Legwand gets flipped for a 2nd and he moves back into the first!

- Stripes77

it's a rare occasion we get the draft in Buffalo if you think we're going to give up first and second round picks your crazy

You mean the guy that scored 42 goals this year only a few short than Ennis had total points??

Look I like Ennis but if Sather came to Murray and said we could have Nash for Ennis straight up and he said no then he needs to re-evaluate his career.

the debates not who is better... Its on is ennis + + worth nash? Ennis is already signed at a great contract and he fits the rebuild perfectly. Not sure how a guy who is gonna be a FA when we are a legit cup contender fits. Sure it will be fun to watch but its not worth it.

Thank you, things aren't Black/White, there are shades of grey......

If Rich Nash was 26 yrs old I would trade him for Tyler Ennis and accept the increased Salary. I don't know how more plain I can make it, his age and salary are a part of the equation.

If Murray had a deal to get OEL for next years first and second round pick and he said no cause the draft is in Buffalo he should be fired immediately.
