Does anyone know who Frolik's centers have been when he was all three teams (panthers, hawks & jets)? I dont recall him playing top 6 role... - joescullz
Whanna say Boland for Hawks. Jets has been fluid. I think he spent time with Olli Jokinen when he centered the second, but I think this year it sS mainly Little. All in all not the best centers in the world. |

By "Blues" I assume you mean the Leafs? If not, I'm confused. - errey12
Yeah, sorry Leafs. Strickland is a Blues guy. |

Crap! I was buying into the $2M retention on Oshie suggestion. |

Last 8 years Frolik's most common C's were
Weiss 1825:24
Scheifele 907:47
Little 749:21
Bolland 353:40 - YouMeAndDupuis9
None of them are that great... Kinda all Sutter or below quality point wise the years Frolik was with them.
Ok, I'm more on board with him now. |

Why?? Oshie has a pretty favorable contract. |

I like Frolik - would be a good fit style and money wise (hopefully)...Parenteau is OK...smart hockey player (can be good with talented linemates) but doesn't have very good speed.
Richards...at almost any price...is too much money for not enough return.
Kessel...would be nice to have a goal scorer...but again...the money he gets paid...too much form my liking.

IF they're retaining 2 mil I don't think you have to worry much. There will be 15 other teams with better packages lining up - dbell646
Doesn't matter if Kessel won't waive beyond the 8 teams on his NTC list. |

So can the Pens put a player on waivers for buy out tomorrow at noon or is today the last day? Not sure how that works. They wouldn't clear until noon July 1st if placed on waivers tomorrow |

It does if at least the other 7 teams come to the table. I think most were out of it because they couldn't fit that cap hit. 6 mil more manageable |

It was a joke by me... Guy before said 2 mil retained by Blues for Kessel... We assumed he meant Toronto, but I went ahead and decided he meant Oshie :D |

I'd much rather sign Frolik for $5m/yr than trade for Kessel. - jfkst1
I think they should try to get a player in the style of each. One pure goal scorer and one good 2 way player. But in both cases, I like the players and their fit here, but I think they should look for cheaper options. |

Two reasons I wouldn't like that:
1. It would take away Frolik.
2. It would make Sharp more likely. |

The Penguins are probably the best option team on his list.

I got in trouble last week for messing around on Hockey's Cap at work. I'm addicted. |

If the Habs sign him, I throw a 5.4M offer sheet at Galchenyuk. They are pretty tight against the cap

Would be a gutsy move, but I like it. Would definitely mean you were off their Christmas card list though. |

I think the Habs don't do anything until they lock him up. They don't have much cap room as is, and he is going to get a decent contact. |

Something tells me we're signing Justin Williams or Joel Ward to a 3 year/9 mil deal. |
