In other words, Chris Pronger should be stuck in limbo, not allowed to be a productive member of society. This whole situation is because the NHL itself has the ironclad over 35 rule, which is not open to interpretation or adjustment depending on circumstances.

The NHL should fire Chris Pronger immediately and force him to sit at home in a dark room until his contract is up.

Do I have your opinion pretty much nailed?

In what world does Pronger make the HHOF next year? He is a classless bum who does not even deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as the HHOF.

He agreed to the contracts and the risks that came with it. Philly did as well and should deal with the cap penalty if they didn't want him to be stuck in limbo.

I find it ironic that a cap hit is now seen as a positive asset by some teams. I'm very surprised by Bostons moves. I understand trading Lucic but not Hamilton. Hamilton is young enough that he would have been a great asset for the team through the rebuild.
