They now are trying to get Kessel to come work with Gary Roberts in the offseason thinking thy will have to keep him, at least for the time being

I'd have thought a team like Florida would jump at him

I'm sorry, but this shouldn't be allowed. He's still getting paid a contract by an NHL Club. Don't you have to be retired to be elected? Can't be retired and still collecting on your players contract IMO.

But he's still collecting money from a players contract. The way everything's gone down with him doesn't sit well with me. The HOF part isn't even really that big of a deal compared to the rest.

Like the fact that even though he's collecting his players salary, he's also collecting a check from the NHL for whatever position it is that he holds with them.
